We met on January 31st, 2023, while Allie was in her last year of undergrad and Ben was in his second year of law school. On this particular day, Allie was working on her senior thesis at the Legal Grounds cafe inside of the law school, and Ben’s eye was caught by the pictures of fluorescent cancer cells on her laptop.
One coffee date turned into two, which turned into many, many more. We started dating officially, and Ben presented Allie with a hand-knitted red rose, with the promise that it would last for as long as our love.
Our journey since then has taken us from Florida and Washington DC to Ireland and the Netherlands. Ben proposed atop the Bodie Island Lighthouse in the Outer Banks on June 21st, 2024—and we can’t wait to see where our journey takes us next.
