Train
If you're traveling from Paris to Avignon, book your ticket on the TGV at the website provided when you click on the VIEW button below. When you book your tickets, typically you go from Gare de Lyon train station in Paris to the Avignon TGV train station (which is different than the Avignon Centre station). The Avignon TGV station has rental car options and is located on the outskirts of Avignon, making it easy to drive out of the station on your way to Gordes. Gare de Lyon has the most TGV train times out of Paris whereas the TGV does stop at Charles de Gaulle, however, more infrequently. Please check the website link provided below and the times to decide which train works best with your schedule. If going straight from CDG to Gare de Lyon, please allot three to four hours between your plane landing at CDG and the train time departure from Gare de Lyon. If you are traveling to and staying in Avignon for a night or more, the Avignon Centre station would be convenient.
