Jessica studied in Avignon during college and instantly fell in love with the area and the language. She always knew she wanted to get married in the area, and she convinced Steve it was a good idea. Plus she now speaks French again, and it's really fun to listen to.
We are most familiar with flying into Paris and taking the fast train (the TGV) to Avignon then renting a car to drive to Gordes. Please refer to our Travel page for the travel options to Gordes.
Not really. But maybe try and learn the hellos, goodbyes, and "can I have another glass of wine, please?"
Definitely. There are a ton of options very close to the village of Gordes. It also seems like a lot of them have pools, which is a major bonus if you're into that sort of thing.
Yes. A lot of artists lived there. Par exemple, see https://www.francetoday.com/travel/gordes-provences-trendier-village/. Et aussi, https://www.avignon-et-provence.com/en/tourism-provence/gordes.
No, you can be smoke-free in France.
