Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Please RSVP no later than May 1st.

Question

How should I RSVP?

Answer

Right here on this website! See the "RSVP" page.

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Join us in wearing formal attire (Suits for men; tea length or floor length dresses for women). When in doubt we'd say go dressier- both venues date from the late 1800s, so you won't look overdressed. Feel free to make a costume change in the gap between ceremony and dinner!

Question

Are there any colors I should avoid wearing?

Answer

The bride will be wearing white/ivory and suggests you avoid wearing anything close in color for your own comfort as her bridesmaids REALLY want the chance to spill red wine on someone wearing white to a wedding. The bridesmaids will be wearing moss green (if you want to avoid matching them or want to know who to look out for if they're holding a wine glass).

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Your invitation will indicate all guests we have accounted for in your party!

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

This will be a child-free ceremony and reception.

Question

Where Should I Stay?

Answer

We have a block of rooms reserved for 7/11 and 7/12 at The Pfister Hotel where the reception will be held. See the "Travel" page for the booking link. There are also many nearby hotel options if you'd prefer to stay elsewhere!

Question

When should I book the hotel by?

Answer

June 19th, 2025 is the cut off to book rooms within our block at The Pfister. After that our rooms will be released to the general public. Harley Davidson will be hosting a festival that weekend so we suggest booking any hotel sooner rather than later as summer festivals tend to buy out the city.

Question

What if I want to stay at the Pfister longer than the 11th and 12th?

Answer

Please call the hotel directly and book your reservation over the phone- they cannot offer a discounted rate for more than those two days but they can make you a "back to back" reservation and make sure you stay in the same room.

Question

Are pets allowed in the hotel?

Answer

Yes! The Pfister is a pet friendly hotel. You can bring up to two pets for a pet fee. Service animals are free of charge.

Question

I'm not Catholic. Can I still come to the ceremony?

Answer

Absolutely! Old St. Mary's is a very inclusive and welcoming parish, and you'd be surprised how quickly you pick up when to sit/stand/kneel! If you have any individual concerns or questions please reach out to Fiona.

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

The Pfister offers on-site parking for $20 overnight and $10 day of event for our guests. Old St. Mary’s has about 30 spaces in the lot behind the church or there is metered street parking out front. Please do not leave your car at the church lot as there is another wedding after ours that day. The Pfister's parking structure entrance is located off Mason Street (N end of the block). Parking at The Pfister is first come/ first serve and will be in high demand during the weekend. If you are unable to park at The Pfister, we recommend the 411 E. Wisconsin lot located on the block just South of The Pfister, entrance on Jefferson Street.

Question

Is there transportation from the hotel to the ceremony?

Answer

There will be a trolley available to shuttle guests from the hotel to the church starting at 11am and making its last trip at 11:45am with the bridal party. Post ceremony it will make return trips until 1:45pm. It will pick up and drop off in front of the hotel at the Jefferson Street entrance. It is about a 2 minute drive, 8 minute walk between venues.

Question

Are rideshare apps available there?

Answer

Yes! Uber, Lyft etc are available and reliable in Milwaukee.

Question

Is there public transportation in Milwaukee?

Answer

Yes- there is a city bus system as well as a free streetcar service called The Hop. See travel page for details.

Question

What Should I Do if I have Dietary Restrictions?

Answer

Please write us a note when you submit your RSVP and we will do our best to accommodate you! (We will note which options are Gluten Free- GF, Dairy Free-DF, and Vegetarian- V)

Question

Will there be an open bar?

Answer

The Cocktail Hour and Reception will be open bar, any other events will be cash bar.

Question

Is there air conditioning?

Answer

All venues are air conditioned!

Question

Who took these photos on the site?

Answer

That would be Sarah of Sarah Aviva Photography (@sarahavivaphoto) and we LOVE her!

Question

Is Milwaukee LGBTQ+ friendly?

Answer

Very! There is a vibrant LGBTQ+ community in the city, and Milwaukee ranks as one of the most LGBTQ+ friendly cities in the U.S.
