We met in the spring of 2019, when Emily was invited by a mutual friend to come play some card games with a group of people that all lived on the same floor in a dorm hall on Ball State’s campus. Ben was among those people and we quickly became a close knit group. Starting our sophomore year of college, Ben was working the front desk of Emily’s dorm hall, meaning that we saw one another almost every day, Emily always stopping by after class to say hi and bring Ben a coffee. Around October of that same year, Ben and Emily were the only two people in their friend group that stayed on campus for the fall break and ended up spending 4 straight days together. After several weeks of shy glances and hand holding, Ben formally asked Emily to be his girlfriend. 6 years down the line, they are finally getting married!
