We would love for as many of our friends and family as possible to stay with us at the Fairmont! We love the idea of having all our favorite people close, for maximum wedding weekend vibes. This will also be the most convenient for guests, as our wedding reception, after party, and sendoff event will be at the Fairmont, and the provided transport to and from our ceremony, as well as our Friday daytime event, will leave from the hotel. And our rehearsal dinner venue is just across the street! There are also a number of hotels and airbnb options in both Whistler Village and the Upper Village (where the Fairmont is located). The Fairmont is walkable (~10-15 minutes) from Whistler Village, but not from Whistler Creek, so we recommend that our guests plan to stay in either the Upper Village or Whistler Village. Be aware that some of the other accommodations in the Upper Village require a hike up the mountain!
Please join us in manifesting glorious fall weather for our big day! However, October is a transitional season in Whistler and the weather can be unpredictable. We recommend bringing optional layers, including outerwear appropriate for light rain and/or cooler temperatures. Our Thursday night venue is a pub with a large indoor space, as well as a heated and partially covered patio. Evenings will almost certainly be chilly, so you may want a layer for the stroll over, but otherwise don't need to account for the weather. Similarly, our rehearsal dinner venue is just across the street from the hotel and the event will be indoors. For our ceremony, men will likely be comfortable in their suit or tux jackets. Ladies may want to pack the option of tights and shawls/wraps, and will likely be most comfortable in closed-toed footwear. (On that note, our ceremony is on a lawn, so avoid stilettos!) Our ceremony will be outdoors and uncovered, however we will have a backup plan in the case of significant rain. Our reception and after party will both be indoors.
Our wedding events will be adults only. Our hope is for all of our guests to be able to be fully present in celebrating with us!
All invited guests and plus ones will be indicated on your invitation. Due to venue capacity limitations, we will only be able to include those guests that we have planned for and indicated accordingly.
As soon as all details for all events are fully finalized, we will enable the rsvp feature on the website! We will send formal invitations at that time as well, which will direct you to rsvp on the website. We will not be doing mail-in rsvp cards. If you already know for sure that you will be attending or not attending, we would love to know! Although totally not necessary to give us a heads up before the rsvp feature goes live on the website, this info is super helpful to us in planning - so if you do already know, it would be much appreciated.
