Things To Do

The Wedding Website of Patricia Barry and Ben Campbell
With our marriage celebration falling on a holiday weekend, we invite you to pop up for the day/night, or make it a full weekend if you please! There's no shortage of things to see or do at Bryce Resort and the Shenandoah surrounding area. Ben and Patricia look forward to spending time with guests sticking around on Sunday and will likely coordinate an informal group activity for that afternoon!

Bryce Resort

1982 Fairway Drive, Basye, VA 22810
, (540) 856-2121

A four season resort, Bryce has plenty to offer: mountain biking, golf, and tennis. The Copper Kettle is a great restaurant at the base of the mountain to grab a drink after a round of golf, or sit outside on the patio to watch the mountain bikers zoom by.

Vineyards & Breweries

The Blue Ridge is filled with vineyards and breweries. Check out the Shenandoah Spirits trail for a map full of great suggestions on where to sip some Virginia wine or grab a local craft brew. Cave Ridge Vineyard, Dimello Vineyard and Swover Creek Brewery are a few of our favorites!

Lake Laura

Basye, VA 22810

Lake Laura is just a 2 minute drive from Bryce Resort. The lake has a great trail walk around the water as well as access to swimming, kayaking, canoeing and more.

Hiking

Wardensville, WV 26851

Big Schloss via Wolf Gap Trail is a nice moderate hike about a 25 minute drive from Bryce. Roughly 4 miles, this is an out and back route with a beautiful view. Be sure to play John Denver's "Country Roads" on your drive in as this trailhead is located in West Virginia.
