They first crossed paths on a dating app, but Meka was too busy living life to notice any of Ben’s sweet messages or his persistence for over a year! One day, she accepted a random friend request, not realizing it was him. What began as a casual conversation soon turned into a genuine connection. Despite her “no dating” rule, she agreed to one dinner. On a warm September evening in 2022, they met at a cozy spot in State College. What started with first-date jitters and small talk turned into deep conversation, laughter, and stargazing from a rooftop parking deck. From there came dive bars, pool games, road trips, family introductions, and a first New Year’s kiss at midnight. Fast forward to NYE 2023, beneath a sky full of fireworks aboard the Spirit of Philadelphia, Ben dropped to one knee and asked Meka to be his forever. She said yes, and the rest is magic.
