We know that the excitement of wedding travel and celebrations can raise a few questions, so we’ve listed the most common ones below. If you have any additional questions that are not covered here, please feel free to contact our wedding coordinator, [Name] at [insert email], or contact the Maid of Honor, Corina.
Question

What Time Should I Head Out For The Wedding? What Time Should I Head Out For The Wedding?

Answer

If you are driving or using Uber, we recommend leaving your hotel no later than 3:00 PM to allow time for travel, valet parking, and seating before the ceremony begins at 4:00 PM. Guests using the wedding shuttle should follow the shuttle pickup schedule listed on the Travel Page.

Question

What Time Should I Arrive At The Ceremony? What Time Should I Arrive At The Ceremony?

Answer

We kindly ask that all guests arrive no later than 3:30 p.m. This will allow time for guests arriving by shuttle or Uber, or for those who need to park their cars, to mingle for a bit and find their seats. The ceremony will begin promptly at 4:00 p.m.! To keep the ceremony intimate and distraction-free, late entry will not be permitted once the ceremony has begun!

Question

Is There A Dress Code?Is There A Dress Code?

Answer

Yes! We’d love to see our friends and family looking their best. The dress code is Garden Formal & Cocktail Attire. Gentlemen: Please wear suits. | Ladies: Please wear evening gowns or formal cocktail dresses. We encourage you to embrace the tropical garden vibe by wearing vibrant, colorful attire that reflects the warmth and joy of our celebration. However, we kindly ask that you avoid wearing Red, Gold, or any White tones (including Off-White, Cream, Eggshell, Ivory, etc.), as these colors are reserved for the bride. As the ceremony will be held outdoors, please be mindful of the weather! Thank you!

Question

Will The Wedding Be Indoors Or Outdoors? Will The Wedding Be Indoors Or Outdoors?

Answer

Our ceremony and the cocktail hour will take place outdoors near the waterfalls and ponds by the stone arch within the main garden area of our venue, Secret Gardens Miami. Our reception will be held indoors in the venue’s beautiful glass ballroom, which is climate-controlled with air conditioning and fans. Since the ceremony will be held outdoors, please be mindful of the weather! We recommend choosing footwear and dress attire based on the dress code that is comfortable for you for an outdoor celebration.

Question

What Kind Of Shoes Should I Wear? What Kind Of Shoes Should I Wear?

Answer

Please note that our ceremony and cocktail hour will take place outdoors, and there are garden areas with natural surfaces, stone walkways, and paved paths on the property. So most dress shoes will be perfectly comfortable. However, we recommend avoiding very thin stilettos or extremely high heels!

Question

What Will The Weather Be Like? What Will The Weather Be Like?

Answer

February in South Florida is typically warm and pleasant, with daytime temperatures averaging between 70–80°F. Evenings can be slightly cooler, so guests may wish to bring a light wrap or jacket. During the outdoor celebrations, there will be plenty of shaded areas and seating available for guests, and there will be AC in the ballroom during the reception. Guests are encouraged to dress for a tropical outdoor setting and stay hydrated throughout the celebration.

Question

Are Kids Welcome?Are Kids Welcome?

Answer

With respect... No. While we absolutely love your little ones, due to restrictions, our wedding will be an ADULT-ONLY celebration (18+). We want you to enjoy the day, sip a cocktail (or mocktail), dance the night away, and have a worry-free time! We hope this advance notice allows you time to make the necessary arrangements so you can fully enjoy the celebration with us. Thank you so much for understanding, and we can't wait to celebrate with you! <3

Question

Can I Bring A Date Or Invite Additional Guests? Can I Bring A Date Or Invite Additional Guests?

Answer

Usually, we are "the more, the merrier" type of people & love the idea of celebrating with as many of you as possible! However, due to restrictions, our wedding is strictly RSVP-only for the name(s) listed on the invitation and website. If you’ve received a plus one, it will be noted on your invitation and when you RSVP on the website. Please do not bring any additional guests if you did not receive a plus one, as we will not be able to accommodate them. Thank you for helping us keep the celebration intimate and organized.

Question

Are Cameras Allowed During The Ceremony? Are Cameras Allowed During The Ceremony?

Answer

With respect... No. Ben and I want our ceremony to be as intimate and distraction-free as possible. Out of respect for us, our photographer, and our videographer, we kindly ask that guests please refrain from using personal cameras or cell phones during the ceremony. Additionally, we ask that all guests remain seated for the duration of the ceremony and avoid standing or moving around, as this may block the view of our photographers. So please keep phones away during the ceremony so everyone can fully enjoy this beautiful moment with us. Our photographer and videographer will capture everything! After the ceremony, guests are welcome to use their devices! We’ll also share a link to a Google folder where you can upload and share your own photos and videos from our special day! Thank you for understanding and helping us make this moment even more memorable.

Question

When Should I RSVP By? What Happens If I Miss The RSVP Deadline? When Should I RSVP By? What Happens If I Miss The RSVP Deadline?

Answer

We kindly ask that all guests RSVP using the card included with your invitation or through the RSVP link on our wedding website no later than December 19, 2026. This will provide us a accurate headcount and allow ample time to release unused rooms, schedule shuttles, and accommodate food selections, dietary needs, and allergy restrictions. If you have any questions, please reach out to the Groom, Ben Hornberger, or the Maid of Honor, Corina Dowdy. If we don’t receive your RSVP by Saturday, December 19, 2026, it will be marked as a “No.” We will certainly miss celebrating with you! However, to ensure we can provide the venue and vendors with an accurate guest count on time, we unfortunately cannot accept late RSVPs. Thank you so much for understanding!

Question

What If I RSVP'ed But Can't Attend Anymore?What If I RSVP'ed But Can't Attend Anymore?

Answer

We invited you because you are truly special to us. However, we understand that unexpected circumstances can arise, and if you’re no longer able to attend, we’d appreciate it if you could let us know as soon as possible so we can adjust the headcount without fees. Your honesty is greatly appreciated, and it's better to hear from you than to have a no-show! Please do not wait until the wedding day, Ben and I will not be responding during the day! Thank you for keeping us updated, and we look forward to celebrating with you!

Question

Will Food And Drinks Be Provided? Will Food And Drinks Be Provided?

Answer

Yes! Guests will enjoy a cocktail hour with drinks and appetizers, followed by a plated dinner and an open bar reception. Guests will make their dinner selection when they RSVP. We encourage everyone to enjoy the evening, stay hydrated, and celebrate with us on the dance floor!

Question

Will There Be Assigned Seating At The Reception? Will There Be Assigned Seating At The Reception?

Answer

Yes. To help ensure a smooth and organized reception, guests will have assigned tables. A seating chart will be displayed during cocktail hour to help guide you to your table. Since dinner is plated and guests selected their meals when they RSVP, once you find your seat, we kindly ask that guests remain at their assigned table and seats during the course of the dinner so meals are served correctly and everyone can enjoy the evening comfortably.

Question

What Time Will The Reception End? Will There Be A Send-Off?What Time Will The Reception End? Will There Be A Send-Off?

Answer

Yes! We’ll be ending the evening with a special send-off for the bride and groom before the final shuttles depart. At the conclusion of the reception, guests will be invited to gather near the venue entrance to help us celebrate the final moments of the night and send the newlyweds off in style. The reception will conclude around 11:30 PM, and shuttles will begin returning guests to the host hotels shortly after. We hope you’ll stay and celebrate with us until the very end!

Question

Which Airport Should I Fly Into?Which Airport Should I Fly Into?

Answer

The closest airport to the wedding venue and our recommended hotels is Miami International Airport (MIA). Fort Lauderdale Airport is over an hour away, and Key West Airport is over 2.5 hours away. So please be sure to book your flight to Miami International Airport (MIA) to ensure the most convenient travel. If you decide not to fly into MIA and choose to fly to one of the other airports, please note that you will be responsible for arranging your own transportation or rental to Miami and Princeton. The Bride and Groom will not be traveling outside the Miami area to pick up guests.

Question

Do I Need A Passport To Fly?Do I Need A Passport To Fly?

Answer

No, a passport is not required for domestic travel within the United States. However, since May 7, 2025, travelers must have a REAL ID or a valid passport to pass through airport security. We encourage guests to check their ID in advance to ensure a smooth travel experience. If you do not have a REAL ID, you may use a passport or another TSA-approved form of identification. We recommend reviewing TSA's website or your local airport for the most up-to-date requirements before your trip.

Question

Will There Be Transportation To And From The Airport? Will There Be Transportation To And From The Airport?

Answer

No. Transportation to and from the airport will not be provided by the wedding party. However, Uber, Lyft, taxis, and rental cars are widely available at Miami International Airport and throughout the Miami area. Travel times to our recommended hotels are typically 25–40 minutes, depending on traffic.

Question

Do I Need To Rent A Car?Do I Need To Rent A Car?

Answer

No, a rental car is not required, but it may be convenient if you plan to explore Miami or the surrounding areas and will be traveling back and forth between these different areas. However, many ride-share services, like Uber, are available throughout Miami, Kendall, Dadeland, and Homestead.

Question

Do You Have Any Hotel Recommendations?Do You Have Any Hotel Recommendations?

Answer

Yes! Please check out our recommendations on the Travel Page. We are currently working on securing room blocks at some of the recommended hotels, but you are welcome to book separately if you prefer. Once the room blocks are secured, we’ll provide details on the discounted rates. Please be sure to book as soon as possible, as rooms are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Be sure to check for updates! If you are booking separately, we recommend booking sooner rather than later, as rates tend to spike after January.

Question

How Far Is The Venue From The Hotels? How Far Is The Venue From The Hotels?

Answer

Our wedding venue is located in Princeton/Homestead within the Redlands agricultural area. It's about 25–35 minutes from our recommended host hotels, depending on traffic. Shuttle transportation is being planned for the wedding day, and additional details can be found on the Travel Page.

Question

Will There Be Transportation To The Wedding? Will There Be Transportation To The Wedding?

Answer

That's the plan! We are currently working to secure room blocks and plan shuttle transportation between our host hotels and the wedding venue to ensure the convenience of our guests. However, guests are also welcome to use Uber or Lyft, or drive directly to the venue if they prefer. Once transportation details and schedules are finalized, they will be posted on the Travel Page of our website. If you plan on leaving the reception early, please make separate arrangements (such as Uber or Lyft) or drive independently to the venue.

Question

Can I Drive To The Venue? Is There Parking? Can I Drive To The Venue? Is There Parking?

Answer

Yes, guests are welcome to drive directly to the venue, and parking is available. However, please note that parking is valet-only. To help keep costs down for our guests, we strongly recommend that you take advantage of the shuttle service from our two host hotels, Hilton Miami Dadeland and Best Western Plus Miami Executive Airport Hotel & Suites, or use Uber or Lyft for your convenience.

Question

Can I Arrive The Day Of The Wedding? Can I Arrive The Day Of The Wedding?

Answer

Technically, yes, but it's not the best choice and can lead to unnecessary stress! We strongly recommend that out-of-town guests arrive at least one day before the wedding to allow time to settle in and avoid any travel delays. Please keep in mind that most hotels' check-in times are between 3-4 p.m., and with the shuttle schedules, Saturday traffic, and travel time to the venue, you will be cutting it really close and may miss the shuttle or even the ceremony! Also, please note that the bride and groom will be very busy the day before and on the wedding day and will be unavailable to assist with any last-minute issues. Last-minute calls and texts will not be responded to.

Question

Are There Things To Do In The Area? Are There Things To Do In The Area?

Answer

Absolutely! South Florida and the Miami-Dade area have so much to offer, from beautiful beaches and exciting nightlife to delicious restaurants and unique outdoor experiences. If you’re planning to spend extra time in the area, we highly recommend exploring Miami, Brickell, Dadeland, Coral Gables, Coconut Grove, the Everglades, or the natural beauty of Princeton or Homestead and the surrounding areas. For a few of our favorite restaurants, attractions, and local experiences, be sure to check out the “Things to Do” page!

Question

Will There Be Any Wedding Weekend Events? Will There Be Any Wedding Weekend Events?

Answer

At this time, we currently only have the rehearsal and rehearsal dinner planned. This will be only for our wedding party and close family members. However, we are currently exploring the possibility of hosting a small welcome gathering or meet-and-greet and a farewell brunch. These events will be open to all our guests. If additional events are confirmed, they will appear in your RSVP link, and the details will be shared on our website closer to the wedding date. Please be sure to check back for updates!

Question

What Should We Gift The Happy Couple? Is There A Registry? What Should We Gift The Happy Couple? Is There A Registry?

Answer

Your presence at our wedding is truly the greatest gift. However, if you would like to celebrate with a gift, we would be honored if you would consider contributing to either our honeymoon fund or our wedding fund instead of traditional gifts. Your generosity will help us create unforgettable memories as we begin our lives together on an incredible adventure. For those who wish to contribute, all contributions can be made through the Honeyfund link on our Registry Page, by going to www.honeyfund.com/site/HappilyEverHornbergers.
