Ben spent his childhood summers in Chautauqua with his family enjoying summer camp and making lifelong friends and memories. Chautauqua also is special for Maddie, as she and Ben spent the pandemic summer of 2020 there with Ben's family and have returned to visit every summer since. But, really, it's because Pickles loves Chautauqua!!
Since its inception in 1874, Chautauqua has served as an educational and recreational lakeside destination for artists, educators, thinkers, and faith leaders – and families. During the summers (which the Institution calls its “season”), it provides a series of lectures; concerts; artistic, literary, and musical programs and classes; and recreational activities for adults and kids.
The weather should be quite pleasant for the wedding weekend. The average temperature in Chautauqua in September is 70 F (high) and 54 F (low) and in October 59 F (high) and 44 F (low). Rain is always possible, however, so please pack rain gear in case it is needed.
Tonight is your night off! Our wedding events will be adults only.
No! The initials were someone else's doing, we just happened upon them during a hike.
