Scott's Addition Breweries
Scott's Addition is the best place to try Richmond's booming beer scene. Head over to the neighborhood that was formerly empty warehouses and bop around the many new and awesome breweries that have popped up. We highly recommend Vasen Brewing Company, The Veil, Three Notch'd or any of the many others in the area!
River City Roll
If anyone is looking to squeeze in a quick game of adult bowling, check out River City Roll - also in Scott's Addition. A great fun place for adults and families with a killer food/drink menu and lots of games!
Belle Isle - James River
For anyone wanting a taste of the outdoors, check out Belle Isle for a stroll around the James River. The canal area is great for long walks and be sure to pop across the Belle Isle Pedestrian Bridge for some great views of the river!
Taste of JMU!
Craving amazing food? Visit two of our favorite restaurants from JMU that have opened locations in Richmond - Jack Brown's Burger Joint (located on Libbie and Grove Ave) and Billy Jack's Shack (located on Cary Street in Shockoe Bottom). You'll enjoy some of the very best burgers, wings, and fried oreos - a favorite treat of ours back in our college days!
Virginia Museum of Fine Arts
The VMFA is one of many amazing museums in Richmond. It is definitely worth a stop with free entry to most exhibits and a great sculpture garden in the back - a perfect spot to relax with friends and family for a quick bite to eat/drink!
Upper Shirley Vineyards
Right next to Westover Plantation, this beautiful vineyard has amazing wine and views. This would be a perfect spot to go to for some pre-wedding fun! Please travel safely, as this venue is also located in Charles City. We recommend catching an Uber to the winery and making sure you have safe transportation to Westover for the wedding festivities!
