Yes, we'd love for you to wear garden attire. Think sundresses, jumpsuits, and suits (no jacket necessary); floral prints, subdued hues, or vibrant colors - whatever makes you feel good!
The ceremony and reception will be outside. The weather is likely to be sunny and warm (average temperatures are 75-80 degrees), but there is always a small chance of rain so plan accordingly.
Vashon Island is only accessible by ferry. There are two ferry routes to the island: West Seattle (Southworth-Fauntleroy) and Ruston/Tacoma (Point Defiance-Tahlequah). Please take into account that ferry wait times can be up to two hours during weekend travel. You can find the ferry schedules and wait times at: https://wsdot.com/ferries/ Our guests traveling from out-of-state will fly into Seattle-Tacoma International Airport. It is recommended that you rent a car to have during your time on the island for exploring. However, we are staying in the "downtown" area with anything you could need within walking distance, so taking a shuttle to and from the venue is also an option. Nope, we have that covered! The Lodges on Vashon has 16 lodges on-site, and Vashon Inn has 4 rooms a short walk away. We will assign parties to a lodge/room once we have received everyone's RSVP by June 8th. Adult guests are asked to contribute what they can to their accommodations for the weekend ($200-$350/person). You can send payment to Ashley via Venmo (@ashweyers), PayPal (@ashweyers) or Zelle (weyersaa@gmail.com). Cash or check works fine too. Please let us know if you plan to stay on Vashon beyond Friday and Saturday nights and we can assist you with booking additional dates.
Yes, kids are welcome to spend the weekend with us! We will provide a sitter for the duration of the ceremony, but the littles are invited to participate in the rest of the festivities.
It is important to us that any of our guests who are in a relationship have that person by their side to celebrate with us. Otherwise, if you're single, Brody is ready to fill in as your date :)
Yes, both The Lodges on Vashon and Vashon Inn are dog-friendly so your pup can stay overnight with you. However, we ask that your dog stays in your room during the wedding day festivities.
