Walk of Fame, Hollywood and Highland complex, the Egyptian, the Pantages, the El Capitan, Ripley's Believe it or Not, Magic Castle, Hollywood Bowl, lots and lots of tchotchke shopping, street performers* in ill-fitting superhero suits, and much more! *Subject to debate

Santa Monica Pier, Palisades Park, the beach, y'know.. western edge of the continent and all that.

Many a happy childhood day was spent on the pier riding the world famous carousel, playing skee ball, eating delicious junk food, watching people fish off the edge, and running along the bluffs. Perfect place for a little sunshine and sea air. Refurbished coaster as well as NY trapeze school down there too. Gets a bit busy esp. on weekends but park a few blocks down on a residential street, and enjoy the walking and peoplewatching.
