Are kids invited?

Answer

We love your babies and toddlers, but we want this evening to be adults' night off! If your littles are traveling with you, let us know so we can look into and help with child care arrangements.

What transportation is available?

Answer

Depending on where you'll be sitting, the reception is about 20 paces or so from the ceremony, so no worries there! The hotel apparently provides transport to both LAX and BUR airports upon request/reservation, but seemingly not from. In addition, they have a shuttle going to Universal Studios if desired. The hotel also has a partnership with Avis, and will provide a discount for guests. For other destinations, Lyft/Uber, cabs, and generous friends with wheels can help, too; and there are many conveniences within walking distance.

Is there a restaurant/bar onsite?

Answer

There was, until recently. Some of you may have heard/read there was a fire at the facility at the beginning of the year, but it was on the other side of the facility. Sadly, though; it did some damage to the hotel's restaurant/lounge, River Rock; and they have no plans to reopen. However, they do have their Patio Cafe, where you can sit and eat inside or order from them poolside. And again, there are numerous places to eat, drink and otherwise carouse within short driving or walking distance.

How's the weather down there?

Answer

LA in early October can range anywhere from perfectly temperate to 'why is the sun trying to kill me' to crisp and fall-like, but still with a touch of warmth. Most likely, it will be a combination of the 1st and last possibilities. :) It *could* rain.. but it almost certainly won't. Prepare to dress to stay cool and comfortable, as the ceremony is outside, but it can still get chilly at night. As everyone's grandma says, bring a sweata'!

Can I bring someone?

If it says "and Guest" on your invite, assume you're good to go! If not, we would prefer you come solo as indicated.

What am I wearing?

Answer

We're requesting guests be in cocktail attire, so fortunately that category is pretty broad. Also, alternating underfoot outside will be asphalt, concrete pathways and dance floor (which means no grass for your heels to sink into, ladies - yay!) So if you want to trade in your fancy shoes for dance-y shoes at some point, we encourage you to do so! It's California, after all. Nothing stays formal for too long.

I'm a vegetarian/ vegan. Will there be an entree option for me?

We've got you covered! You'll find that option on the invite. And it'll be better than tofu dogs, we promise.
