We would appreciate your response by March 1, 2026.
The ceremony will begin promptly at 5pm, so we advise that you plan to arrive no later than 4:30 to ensure that you have plenty of time to find a seat and settle in.
Getting to Jones Beach via public transit can be a bit tricky (thanks a lot, Robert Moses), but it can be done! If you're coming from NYC, you can refer to the MTA's recommended train & bus suggestions (https://www.mta.info/destinations/beaches/jones-beach). Our wedding will be taking place at the West Bathhouse building.
There will be free parking in the lot directly next to the venue itself (indicated by the Gatsby on the Ocean sign) which will be available to wedding attendees. Should you choose to park in a different lot, we cannot guaruntee that parking there will be free, and you may be a further distance from the venue. However, depending on the lot, you might also run into some Jimmy Buffet fans tailgating before a show at the Jones Beach Theatre, and to be honest, they might know how to party better than we do, so, you know, you do you.
Our dress code is semi-formal/formal. That generally means a suit or tuxedo, and either a floor- or tea-length gown. Though we are at the beach, let's maybe save the shorts and t-shirts for the summer season. Basically, if it would have been a faux pas to wear to an event in the 1890s-1930s, the same rules generally apply here. And while we're on the subject...
You can adhere to the theme as much or as little as you’d like! If the historical throwback vibe is your thing, feel free to embrace it! If the idea of trying to figure out a "period accurate" outfit stresses you out, don't even worry about it! Wear what you would normally wear to a wedding, and just focus on having fun! This isn't Social Studies class, there will not be a quiz, don't worry.
Don't worry, you will not have to learn the Charleston or the Lindy hop just to have a good time! Cocktail hour will be set to some of the most beloved tunes of the turn of the 20th century, while the main reception will be a DJ'd set of songs spanning both modern and classical sensibilities, suited to multiple styles of dancing, in both Russian and English! We are, however, hard at work to ensure we do have some fun historical touches throughout the night, and we can't wait to show you!
It is usually advised that dresses for wedding attendees not be white, or any light color that hues too close to white. This is to avoid the appearance of trying to "match" the bride (white shirts, when worn with a suit, are not considered a faux pas, something the groom somehow needed clarification on). As such, we kindly ask those wearing dresses to avoid white/white-adjacent colors. Every wedding has somebody that does it anyway. You don't wanna be that person.
Weather-permitting, we are planning on having an outdoor ceremony and cocktail hour. The reception will be indoors. Please note that the ceremony will be in the grass, so some sharper high heels might sink into the ground.
To ensure we can comfortably accommodate all guests within the venue’s capacity, we ask that only invited guests attend our festivities. You’ll find the details about your party size, including whether it includes a plus one, on your invitation. We appreciate your understanding and can’t wait to celebrate with you!
We have chosen to make our day an adults-only event, so parents and caregivers can fully immerse themselves in the festivities.
We will have a mix of Italian, American and Eastern European cuisine. There will be something delicious for everyone!
Our menu includes vegetarian and nut-free options, but if you have any additional requirements (including if you require a kosher meal) please let us know on the RSVP form. If you have any allergies, please inform your server.
It’s a Russian-Italian-Irish wedding. Of course there’s an open bar.
