The site of our engagement photos and SO much fun, Brown's Island sits on the James River in the heart of downtown Richmond. You can walk along the river, cross over the Potterfield Bridge for breathtaking photos, or follow the pathways along the canal walk for access to fun downtown restaurants like Casa del Barco. Also a wonderful area to walk or run for those seeking outdoor exercise while in town! Outdoor adventures can be booked through: https://rvapaddlesports.com/ https://www.riversideoutfitters.com/

Virginia Museum of Fine Arts

Virginia Museum of Fine Arts

200 North Arthur Ashe Boulevard, Richmond, VA 23220

The VMFA is an awesome museum that is free to the public and open 365 days a year! Tickets to special rotating exhibits are available as well. You can enjoy getting lost inside all their awesome exhibits, walking the outdoor grounds, eating lunch in the café, or stop by for live jazz music on Thursday nights or great happy hour specials on Friday afternoons. Our personal favorite are their collection of Fabergé eggs!

Right next door to the VMFA, you can spend an entire day getting lost in these two museums!
