Officiant
Without Meredith, we would not be gathered here today to party. Mer and Rob know each other from way back in the day when the William Penn Tavern was still in Shadyside, and Mer and Shanna were classmates together at Duquesne Law. She was the invisible string that brought these two together that October night, and Rob and Shanna could not be more thankful for her.
Maid of Honor
Carly and Shanna had no choice but to like each other - they basically were raised as sisters. Shanna is 17 months older than Carly and spent most of her time with her when her Aunt Donna watched her growing up. Carly and Shanna may not have always gotten along, but their friendship and sisterhood has grown as they have gotten older. FAVORITE MEMORY?: "There are sooo many memories! Summers in Florida and OBX…sleepovers…road trips…overall though my favorite “memory” is growing up with you as my big sister."
Bridesmaid
Brittah and Shanna met in junior high on the bus since they lived in neighboring developments. After years of pretending to hate each other, they finally decided to get along and realized they really liked each other. Since then, they’ve grown into the best of friends and if asked nicely, may do an encore of their famous “99 Problems” performance. FAVORITE MEMORY?: "Sitting on the bike path, going from enemies to besties hehe"
Bridesmaid
Kayla and Shanna were also raised liked sisters and over the years have become concert buddies, traveling back and forth between Philadelphia and Pittsburgh to see shows together, while also sharing a mutual love of American Horror Story and Evan Peters! FAVORITE MEMORY?: "When you came over in December 2022, we saw Bad Omens and A Day To Remember back to back and spent about four days at my house. It was so much fun, and we got to experience some of the best shows together. Honestly, thinking about all the concerts we’ve been to together makes me really happy. I love that we share the same taste in music, and between the two of us, we’ve probably seen ADTR over 10 times by now!!!"
Bridesmaid
Jasmine and Shanna were placed into a room by Mississippi State Housing and Residence Life when they both transferred in 2011, and it turned out to be the best decision ever. They each became honorary members of each other's families, and formed a friendship that has survived 1,700 miles and many FaceTime calls. Jasmine will be celebrating from home as she and her husband, Stacy will be expecting their second child shortly before the wedding. FAVORITE MEMORY?: "Has to be going to New Orleans and getting kicked out of Shelby’s dorm and having to spend the night sleeping in the park only to get back to Starkville the next day and find out someone moved your car 😭"
Bridesmaid
Sarah and Shanna met on Facebook through a group of admitted students at Shippensburg University. On move in day (and Shanna's 18th birthday), the two of them spotted each other outside of their dorm where they said hi to each other for the first time. Shanna told Sarah to come up to her room once she was settled to get a brownie that her mom had made to celebrate, and two have been inseparable ever since. FAVORITE MEMORY?: "Meeting on move in day freshman year of college when you introduced yourself to me as the girl from the Facebook group and you had brownies because it was your birthday."
Bridesmaid
Erica and Shanna's moms have been best friends since they were children, so it only made sense that their daughters would be best friends as well! Shanna has always looked up to Erica as an older and wiser sister-figure, who just so happens to share her love of pop punk music (They went to so many Warped Tours together back in the day!) FAVORITE MEMORY?: "Warped Tour 2004 🥰"
