The Wedding Website of Beck Ringdahl-Mayland and Mikayla Schroeder
The average daily temperature in Bordeaux in September is about 66°F. The low temperature drops down to 55°F, typical for autumn. During the day, the highs still get up to around 77°F, so summer clothing is generally still appropriate. Bring along a jacket or light sweater for the evening hours. While rare, this part of France has seen some extreme highs and lows during this month. The highest recorded temperature was a blistering 97°F, while the lowest recorded temperature was a cool 41°F. Bordeaux gets over six hours of sunlight each day, so you'll want to bring along your sunglasses, hat, and sunscreen. The chance of having a sunny day is 26% and the chance of clouds is 26%. The rainfall chances start to increase this month heading into the rainy winter months. The area gets around 70 mm of rainfall during the month, falling over 13 days. The chance of rain on any given day is only 32%, but packing an umbrella might have utility.

Hotel

Château Sentout

Douley, Tabanac, Nouvelle-Aquitaine 33550, France

Chateau Sentout can sleep 40-50 guests. Our goal is to have all guests stay on location. The bedrooms are spread around the large courtyard, some sharing a common area and bathroom. All are heated and air conditioned with Wi-Fi. There is an outdoor covered pool for guests to enjoy during the stay.

Travel Note

Flight Information

Chateau Sentout is Southeast of Bordeaux, and approximately 35 minutes from Bordeaux–Mérignac Airport. It is approximately 25 minutes from Bordeaux Saint-Jean Train Station. There are many direct trains from Paris to Bordeaux that take approximately 3 hours, so some may choose to fly into Paris and take the train to Bordeaux. This is what we will be doing to see more of France!

Travel Note

Transport to the Chateau

As the Chateau is close to the airport (35 minutes) and main train station (25 minutes), the easiest way to travel to the Chateau is either by taxi or Uber. There are many car rental agencies next to the train station and within the airport, so if you prefer to have your own means of transportation feel free to look into renting a car. Be aware that many cars are manual, so if you are not comfortable with this you many need to pay a little extra for an automatic!
