2:00 pm - 4:00 pm
Welcome to Chateau Sentout! Please arrive between 2:00 and 4:00pm to allow us to show you to your rooms and get settled before we kick the party off! Taxis and Uber are the easiest way to make your way from the Bordeaux Airport or Bordeaux train station.
5:00 pm
Cocktail Attire: Wear cocktail dresses, LBDs, dressy jumpsuits, and dark jackets and slacks. The evenings can cool down, so layers will adventageous.
We will have a food truck providing dinner and a lovely sommelier will be walking us through a wine tasting of French wines! This is a tentative time and the location (indoor vs. out) is still subject to change.
9:30 am
It's time to get ready for the main event. This type of preparation won't be like any wedding you have every been to. With such a small group all staying in the same location, we invite everyone to enjoy French pastries, some libations and friends while everyone makes the transformation for the ceremony! The pool will be open for guests to enjoy the afternoon outside as well. Those who are having hair/makeup done will be provided a schedule, but the first will begin promptly at 9:30 am. Some may choose to leave the Chateau during this time for their own adventure in France - just be sure to be back for the ceremony!
3:00 pm
We ask that all guests gather prior to the ceremony. Non-alcoholic drinks will be provided.
4:00 pm
Black-Tie Optional: Tuxes and gowns are optional, formal outfits strongly recommended.
Please wear SOLID dark clothing, avoiding floral patterns and busy patterns. We are hoping to have some fantastic group pictures with this color scheme! (Examples: Solid dark navy, dark forest green, dark plum, black, etc.)
4:30 pm
We kindly ask that you take a minute before sprinting to the cocktail hour. We will try to knock out as many photos as possible so that you can enjoy the cocktail hour uninterrupted, and so that our photographer is free to take as many candid shots as possible.
4:45 pm - 7:15 pm
In the French tradition, the Cocktail hour is no fleeting affair! Typically, lasting 2-2.5 hours, this is a time of celebration, live music, family and friends! We will have many appetizers floating around, several food stations, and a string quartet - not to mention lots of wine and bubbles!
7:30 pm - 9:30 pm
This will be a formal 4 course dinner of French cuisine. Several speeches will be sprinkled throughout the evening and wine will be served to you with the courses - so make yourself comfy!
9:30 pm
We will have traditional croquembouche to enjoy, so it will be more of a cake "plucking" than a cake "cutting"!
Tue, Sep 24, 2024, 10:30 pm - Wed, Sep 25, 2024, 2:30 am
I hope you are ALL coming to France ready to dance the night away - this is a party after all! The benefit of staying at the Chateau is that no one will kick us out of our venue. We can celebrate with no limit! The DJ will be playing music for 4 hours, so make sure you pack your boogie shoes (and maybe some electrolytes).
10:30 am - 12:00 pm
After a long night of partying we will have a catered brunch to aid in recovery and make sure everyone is ready to explore the region for the rest of the day. It will be nice and low-key so feel free to roll of of bed, but gather your things so you are ready for the wine tour to follow!
2:00 pm - 9:00 pm
Garden Attire: Wear sundresses, floral prints, suits in lighter hues, and fun hats and sunglasses.
We will join our sommelier from the evening before the wedding for visits and tastings of 2-3 of the best independent, small family and sustainable wineries in the region with the winemakers themselves or their families. Tentative plan is chateau #1 at 3:30pm, chateau #2 at 5:30pm, and dinner/drinks in St. Emilion. People who do not wish to go on the winery tours are still invited to spend the day exploring St. Emilion at their leisure. We have a bus arranged so that no one has to worry about driving, but guests can also go explore the region on their own or relax at Chateau Sentout.
12:00 pm
All good things must come to end, but we are so grateful you have decided to celebrate with us. You don't have to leave, but you can't stay here!
