Salt Lake City International Airport

Brandon often says Salt Lake is a "geographical oddity, you're always 15 minutes from anywhere" (who can name the movie he's referencing?). The airport is no exception, having seen a fair number of airports around the country, SLC's is one of the easiest to get in and out of. Ride shares are available from the airport, just book in the Lyft or Uber app and follow the signs to the designated pick-up locations. If you plan to rent a car, there is a reasonable amount of street parking in downtown Salt Lake, but be forewarned construction can often limit full blocks of parking, so you may have to search a few minutes for a spot or walk a bit to your destination. If you are staying at the Hotel Monaco, valet parking is available for $35/day.

Hotel Monaco is a beautiful piece of Salt Lake history. The site has been home to various iterations of hotels and banks since the 1860's, but it underwent a major vertical growth spurt in the 1920's when the original structure gave way to its current 13-story high-rise form. While some of the hotel's architecture maintains the charm of its past lives, Hotel Monaco recently renovated their rooms and suites in 2023. We feel that Hotel Monaco is the perfect blend of modern comfort and luxury with a nod to the glamor and history of the past.
