What is Black Tie Optional?
Answer
For the gentleman we ask that you kindly wear a tuxedo or suit with tie. For the ladies, we recommend a floor length or mid-length dress, or dressy separates. We would love our guests to fill the evening with color! Feel free to experiment with colors, patterns, frills, and textures. Please keep in mind that we will be outdoors for the ceremony, as well as cocktail hour and dancing (weather permitting!) Dinner will be served inside.

Are the ceremony and reception in the same place?
Answer
Yes! Both will take place at The Armour House in Lake Forest, IL. Following the ceremony we will head right into cocktail hour just a few steps away! We will be outside for the ceremony and dancing (weather allowing!), with dinner served inside.

What time should I arrive?
Answer
The ceremony will start promptly at 5:30 pm - we kindly request that you arrive no later than 5:15 pm in order to find your seat. Thank you! Shuttle will be provided to and from Armour House: There will be one 4:30 pm shuttle pickup at Hilton Garden Inn Lake Forest/Mettawa for both Hilton guests & guests of the adjacent Marriott Residence Inn. There will be two shuttle pickups at the Hyatt Forester starting at 4:40pm. Shuttle will continuously run guests back to all three hotels towards end of the evening.

Are kids invited?

We love your little ones! However, our wedding is an adults-only event with the exception of our flower girls and ring bearers during the ceremony. Enjoy a night off and come ready to party!

Can I bring a guest?
Answer
In order to keep our wedding as intimate as possible, we respectfully ask that only those listed on your invitation attend the wedding. If you received a plus one, they will appear when you RSVP. Thank you for understanding!

Will there be an open bar?
Answer
Yes! The drinks are on us and the hangover is on you :) If you are not taking a shuttle back to the hotels, please arrange transportation if you plan on drinking!

Is there parking at the venue?
Answer
Yes - parking is free at the venue. Parking Information: In front of Cressey Arts Center, there is multiple signage as guests drive onto Academy Drive and along the roadway to the main campus, as well as parking directional signage. Anyone with handicapped issues or immediate family can park in the small lot (Admissions Visitors) off of Woodhouse drive.
