Travel Map

As you plan your travels, the google map linked below may be helpful. It includes major points like the wedding venue, airports, hotels, and recommendations from our "things to do" page.

Flight

SNA - John Wayne Airport

For guests traveling by air, we highly recommend flying into John Wayne (Orange County) Airport. With its close proximity, limited traffic, and flights from most major airlines, it is the most convenient option by far. Passenger airlines that serve John Wayne include: Air Canada, Alaska, Allegiant, American, Breeze Airways, Delta, Frontier, JSX, Southwest, Spirit, United, and WestJet

Flight

LGB - Long Beach Airport

Long Beach Airport is the second most convenient airport for travel to Orange County, though this smaller regional airport has fewer flights. Airlines that serve Long Beach include: Delta, Hawaiian Airlines, and Southwest

Flight

LAX - Los Angeles International Airport

We recommend avoiding LAX unless absolutely necessary, though sometimes it's inevitable. If you do fly into LA, we highly suggest renting a car to get to Orange County. But if your flight arrives around rush hour (7-10am or 3-7pm), stay in LA to wait out the traffic before getting on the 405. The drive between LAX and Newport is about 45 minutes when avoiding peak traffic. Airlines that serve LAX include: Alaska, Allegiant, American, Breeze, Delta, Emirates, Hawaiian Airlines, Horizon, JetBlue, KLM, Lufthansa, Southern Airways Express, Southwest, Spirit, Sun Country, United, Virgin Atlantic, Volaris, WestJet, and more.

Hotel

VEA Newport Beach, A Marriott Resort & Spa

900 Newport Center Drive, Newport Beach, CA 92660

This is the closest hotel to the venue and central to most of Newport, with Fashion Island Mall just across the street. If you're looking for something easy and nearby, this is your pick!

Hotel

Hyatt Regency Newport Beach

1107 Jamboree Road, Newport Beach, CA 92660

Known to locals as "The Newporter," the Hyatt Regency is a great family-friendly option in very close proximity to our venue.

Hotel

Lido House, Autograph Collection

3300 Newport Boulevard, Newport Beach, CA 92663

For those looking to turn this trip into a vacation, look no further than Lido House! This beach house inspired hotel is walking distance to Newport's best beaches, dining, and activities like boating on the harbor. It's also home to the only rooftop bar in town.

Hotel

Holiday Inn Express Newport Beach, an IHG Hotel

2300 West Coast Highway, Newport Beach, CA 92663

Stay right on PCH without having to splurge! This Holiday Inn is in a great central location, just a short drive to all of Newport's hot spots.

House Or Rental

Vacation Rental Homes

Newport is a typical beach town with lots of vacation rentals that are great for families or a group of friends! You can see what's available on sites like Airbnb, VRBO, AvantStay, and Vacasa; or check out some of the local rental companies like Burr White and Newport Beach Vacation Properties. For close proximity to the venue, we recommend searching for rentals in Corona del Mar or Balboa Island neighborhoods. Rentals in the Balboa Peninsula, Cannery Village, Lido Village, or West Newport areas are just a short drive away, and great if you want to be by the beach!

Travel Note

Do I Need To Stay In Newport?

We're very lucky to live in an area with tons of cool cities nearby! We understand many of our guests will be traveling and may want to spend time in Los Angeles, Surf City USA (Huntington Beach), Disneyland (Anaheim), or San Diego. While we encourage you to explore all that Southern California has to offer, we do recommend staying as close by as possible for the weekend. Traffic can be unpredictable this time of year, and we don't want anyone to miss out on the fun because they get stuck on the freeway! If you'd prefer to stay in the surrounding cities, we recommend Laguna Beach to the south, Costa Mesa and Irvine to the east, or Huntington Beach to the north. If you'd like to extend your stay in Southern California and visit other areas, see our recommendations on the Things To Do page!

Travel Note

Do I Need A Rental Car?

Rideshare services like Uber and Lyft are very popular here! If you'll be flying into Orange County and staying locally in Newport, you can likely get away without a rental car. Most of the accommodations above have food and entertainment within walking distance, and rideshare is easy when you want to get to places a little further away. Take a look at our "Things To Do" page while planning your trip to decide whether you'd prefer the flexibility of having a car. If you'll be flying into LAX or staying outside of Newport Beach city limits, we recommend getting a rental car for your time here.
