Pacific City is a beautiful outdoor mall with lots of great food and shopping. Some of our favorite restaurants at Pacific City are Bear Flag Fish Co (Home of the best poke and fish tacos on earth!!), Nardo (Italian), Kai (Sushi), The Brant (American food), Simmzy's (Burgers) and Ola Mexican Kitchen.
Main Street is in the heart of downtown Huntington Beach with great surf shops, restaurants, bars and coffee shops. Jacks Surfboards is a GREAT place to shop! Our favorite restaurants on Main Street are Sugar Shack Cafe (great breakfast and lunch), The Focaccia House (incredible sandwiches all made on homemade focaccia bread), Sandbar Cocina y Tequila (this is where Rob and I met!!! - great Mexican food and margaritas!). Other cuisines on Main Street include Thai, Greek, Pizza, Sushi, Irish, Poke, Shabu Shabu, Korean and burgers! There is something for everyone on Main Street! :) Main Street also has some fun sports bars and dive bars: Second Floor, Hurricanes and Baja Sharkeez. Cruisers is on 5th Street which is a fun sports bar. HQ Gastropub is a great spot right off Main St. and PCH and has a speakeasy. Right off of Main Street are a few incredible restaurants that I highly recommend as well: BLK Earth Sea Spirits and Duke's / Sandy's Beach Shack!
Treehouse is another amazing rooftop that we love! It is located at the Pasea Hotel in Pacific City. Enjoy the fabulous ocean views! They also serve great food! We love it here during sunset!
The Huntington Beach Pier is a historic landmark and the vibrant focal point of Surf City USA! It is located at the intersection of Pacific Coast Highway and Main Street. We love walking down the pier and along the boardwalk. This is a great beach to hang out during the day or taking an evening sunset stroll. The boardwalk alongside the pier has various stops for bike rentals as well! All of the above recommendations are walking distance to the Pier!
Laguna Beach is roughly a 30 minute drive down Pacific Coast Highway and the drive is along the coastline with beautiful ocean views! Laguna Beach is very charming and is super walkable! Laguna Beach has incredible cuisine, shopping, walking and great hikes! It is a wonderful place to visit and has plenty of tourists year round. Rob and I's first official dinner date night was in Laguna Beach and he proposed to me in Laguna Beach!
Newport Beach is the neighboring beach town to Huntington Beach! It is an extremely beautiful and modern town with lots of great restaurants and shopping. We love Fashion Island, an indoor and outdoor mall with state of the art fashion. Lido Isle is another gorgeous spot on the peninsula that we love with great waterfront dining and shopping. Balboa Island and Balboa Peninsula are both walkable and enjoyable areas for dining and recreation. If the surf is up, be sure to check out the world famous Wedge, a premier beach on the tip of Balboa Peninsula to watch expert surfing.
