Welcome to Huntington Beach, California, better known as Surf City USA...the home of the annual U.S. Open of Surfing! We are so excited to welcome you to our little slice of paradise on the beautiful, sunny, Southern California coast! Our wish is for you to enjoy your time here as much as we enjoy living here. Our story is very simple but unconventional! We met on a very beautiful summer night in Huntington Beach on July 9th, 2022. I approached Rob with a friend and asked him for directions to The Sandbar on Main Street and coincidentally, that is exactly where he was going to meet up with friends! We all walked into The Sandbar together and the rest is history! Little did we know, this would turn in to the first night of the rest of our lives! My friend told me that she knew we would get married after watching us interact that night. In other words, she saw the sparks! It's an ongoing debate as to who made the first move, as Rob thinks I did because I approached him for directions. Whereas I think he made the first move because he approached me at the table inside and asked for my number very shortly after we met. I'm sure this ongoing debate will continue in the many years to come! We would love your input to take a poll as to who made the first move! We refer to the day we met as our anniversary date because that is the night we knew we had something extremely special and rare. It was a night that flew by so quickly that neither of us wanted it to end. The hours we talked felt like minutes. I was completely captivated by this blue eyed, blonde haired, North Carolina guy! The next day, Rob called me (yes, called!) and we met up at the beach with some friends and had tacos at Bear Flag. It was an undeniable and instant connection that has only grown more by the day. Our story began in Huntington Beach and our marriage will begin in Huntington Beach! It has become our favorite place because of the sentimental value it holds for us. Rob lives in Huntington Beach and is where we plan to purchase our first home together after the wedding. Our wedding weekend activities are all centered around our favorite places! St. Mary's by the Sea is Rob's church parish, where we attend mass together every Sunday. The Harbor Cruise is where we love to kayak and paddle board. The Sunday Beach Day is where we spent the afternoon the day after we met. We frequent Offshore 9 at the Hilton Waterfront and The Shorebreak for delicious food and cocktails. I was actually staying at The Shorebreak with my friend when I met Rob at The Sandbar, so it is very fitting and nostalgic to be having our Welcome Reception there! My brother Beau, and sister-in-law Gracie, got engaged at The Shorebreak the month after Rob and I met! Gracie loved it so much that she decided to have her Bachlorette Party in Huntington Beach! As you can see, this is a special place for us and my family too! We want our wedding to feel super intentional and represent our daily lives with all the places we love! We have curated a full weekend with lots of meaning behind every location and activity. It means the absolute world to us that you're coming from near and far to celebrate with us! We hope you feel like you're on a fabulous, tropical beach vacation while celebrating with us! We love you all so much! Also, we have this wild idea that if we show you beautiful Huntington Beach, the amazing weather, the ocean, the year round sunshine, great food and cocktails... maybe... just maybe.... we can convince some of you to move here!!!
