Question

Are there any procedures taken for the pandemic? If so, what should I expect?

Answer

Ceremonies on the property need to be socially distanced. We are accommodating this by setting rows of chairs several feet apart and setting more chairs than needed so families/household can sit together, but 6 feet apart from another family/household. Receptions in a tent are considered outside. We are allowed to seat up to 10 people per round table, however those 10 people have to be ok sitting together. The reception tables have to be spaced 6 feet apart from each other. Guests are expected to wear a mask while inside the tent whether the panels are open or closed, &in the public spaces of the Mansion and Summer House buildings. Their mask will be required during the event unless they are social distancing. They do not need to wear a mask while sitting at their table or while eating/drinking.

Question

COVID: What is the set-up of your wedding during a pandemic?

Answer

Our venue is still open. Ceremony is OUTSIDE. Cocktail Hour/Tea Ceremony is OUTSIDE. RECEPTION is in a TENT ( the whole front section, the corner where the guests enter and then the opposite corner on the other side, WILL ALL BE OPEN). Ceremony: Chairs will be placed 6 feet apart. You are able to move the chairs together, once you are settled. Reception: Tables will be placed 6 feet apart. We will have assigned seating. Masks are required, but it is up to your discretion when you are at the table.

BICYCLE: Would you ride your bike?

One of our favorite ways of getting around places is by riding our bicycles. We would totally SEND IT! on our bicycles. We rode around 8.2 miles of the island, adventured some trails to the Inn at Stoncliffe. If this is something you would like to adventure on, please reach out to them to reserve a bike or simply stop by their shop when you get off the ferry. Need places to check out?
