Buena Vista sits along side the Collegiate Peaks. Which are some of the most beautiful 14ers in Colorado. This small town is well known for mountain biking and rafting. There are tons of trails to explore on foot or bike. You can also catch some rays near the Arkansas River and possibly watch the surfers ride the waves right outside the Surf Hotel.
