6:00 pm
Casual Attire: Anything goes, from sundresses and sandals to jeans and tees.
Ravenna Brewing is one of our favorite breweries in Seattle. They've expanded tremendously since Rachel started going there when she first moved to Seattle. She lived two blocks away from them for a few years! We have a private room reserved in the back with a cash bar. For food, Ravenna Brewing will have a food truck outside that's also open to all their guests. We'll have some snacks available as well. The brewery is also fine with having people bring in their own food - and the Thai restaurant just next door is one of our favorites, if you're looking for a more substantial meal! Kids of any age ARE welcome (as are dogs).
5:00 pm - 6:00 pm
Cocktail Attire: Wear cocktail dresses, dressy jumpsuits, and suits or jackets with slacks. Narrow heels not suggested for the grassy/uneven garden ground.
There will be some refreshing, non-alcoholic beverages at this event. The garden is in full sun at this time! Sunset in Seattle during the summer is after 9pm, and there's very little shade in the Rose Garden, so please come prepared! And check the temperature before because August temperatures in Seattle vary widely. Please see the Travel tab for information on parking.

As mentioned in the Travel/Transportation tab, there is a 7-block/10-minute trip from the ceremony to the reception. It's a straight shot down Fremont avenue, and the street is all flat or down-hill. We encourage you to walk! But if you feel that you cannot, we'll have a couple cars that can assist.

We'd love to see you after all the excitement of the wedding is over and we can spend some extra quality time! Completely optional, but if you have time before you leave the city, feel free to stop by. We will not be providing food, but feel free to bring some with you. Consider checking out the Ballard Farmers market before you head over- its well worth the stop and they have plenty of options! Or Portage Bay Cafe in Ballard is on the way and has a great brunch. We'll be in the Carl S. English gardens (turn right as soon as you get into the ballard locks) and walk all the way to the back lawn - location D on this map: https://www.ballardlocks.org/weddings-at-the-locks.html
