Visas
You will need a visa to enter India. Citizens of multiple countries including the United States can apply for an e-visa online. The process is pretty straightforward, and we recommend doing it directly through this link: https://indianvisaonline.gov.in/evisa/tvoa.html NOTE: The Indian government recently changed the application so you can only apply for an evisa up to 30 days out. The visa is then valid for 30 days upon entry into India. For most people, this will mean applying mid-October. If anything changes, we will notify you. If not eligible for e-visa, find the nearest Indian embassy location per your address to file for a paper visa. 30 day Tourist visas cost $25 and are valid for 1 year from date of issue. Flights
Traveling to India from abroad? Mumbai (BOM) is closest international airport. Emirates, Etihad, Lufthansa, and KLM are the most comfortable airlines in terms of service, flight time, and layovers. We recommend bookings your tickets at least 6 months in advance. The venue is under 3 hour’s drive from Mumbai. We will organize transport between the airport and hotels in Mumbai as well as Mumbai to the venue. IMPORTANT: After landing, you will need to go through immigration. Wait time can vary depending on the line. While waiting, you will not have internet access since Mumbai airport's wifi can only be accessed if you have a local number. Once through immigration, you can buy a SIM card. (Yes, we know this is poorly designed). Non-Indians, please let us know ahead of time when your flight lands so that we can be ready to receive you.
