Jessica and Whitney met at the age of five when they moved in next door to each other. From then until now they have been inseparable and have plans to grow old together selling Tennessee ham and strawberry jam.
Best Man
Walter and Tanner were born in the same hospital in Childress Tx. The nurse wheeled Walter's crib next to Tanner's. One commented they like pie, the other agreed. Best friends ever since.
Bridesmaid
Whitney met Kayla when Kayla was only about a year old. Moving in next door to each other, Kayla was always the little sister that Whitney never knew she wanted. Even if Whitney, Jess, and Larissa made her walk at least twenty steps in front of them on the long journey home and only allowed her a turn on the sega every fifth round, they all loved each other like sisters.
Groomsman
Tanner and Josh were lottery roommates in Sunwatcher at MSU. It worked out so well the first time they split rent off and on for another three apartments.
Bridesmaid
Erica and Whitney met in high school on the Westerners dance troop. They tap-a-tap-tapped into each other’s lives and still can sing every line to Buffy’s Once More with Feeling to each other.
Groomsman
Cody and Tanner met in the Dillard School of Business at MSU through Delta Sigma Pi. They worked a couple of jobs together, were band mates, and lived on Pearl street together.
Bridesmaid
Stormi and Whitney met in high school English class . Whitney asked Stormi for a pencil and upon producing one, told Stormi she was a Goddess. Note: this story has been edited for Wedding appropriateness. Feel free to ask Stormi the real story at the wedding.
Groomsman
Thomas and Tanner met at the beginning of freshmen year in college. They bonded quickly over pretty much everything. Many drunken philosophical conversations followed.
Usher
Linc was blessed with Whitney in his life at three years old. As her big brother he has protected her through the years. They enjoy cooking together but also mostly eating together.
Usher
Austin and Tanner met through mutual friends and have grown close over the past couple of years. Tanner will be the officiant at Austin’s wedding in the fall. They’ve become like brothers.
Bridesmaid
Lyndsey and Whitney met in their current industries and bonded quickly over being strong independent women and loving wine. Mostly wine.
Groomsman
Adam and Tanner met at a Delta Sigma Pi alumni event in Dallas. They quickly bonded over thier love for podcasts and beer.
Bridesmaid
Larissa and Whitney met in 1st grade at Honey Elementary. They became fast friends because they both were forced to walk “the long journey home” each day after school. They would spend their afternoon eating triscuits and cream cheese, playing the lion king on sega, and reading Goosebumps.
Groomsman
Spencer and Tanner met during high school while they were both sentenced to Saturday detention. After sneaking out and exploring the school together, they learned that they were more than just the stereotypes that surrounded them.
Bridesman
Bryan and Whitney met at church camp in junior high. From camp prank tricks to always being there for each other, their friendship has only grown stronger through the years.
Groomsman
Tanner had a flat tire and needed a ride to work. He pulled out a list of fraternity brothers and went down the list and found Jarod's name. After a goofy conversation during the ride, they kept hanging out.
Bridesman
Philip inserted himself into Whitney’s friend group in high school, and in line with the classic highlander principle, has slowly eliminated most of them in an effort to be the only one.
Groomsman
Tanner met Mat in high school when he was dared by a friend to try and make Mat prom king. Upon hanging out, it became more than just a bet.
Flower Girl
Whitney loved Maddie with all of her heart the minute she held her in her arms for the first time. Our favorite dance is the guacamole dance. Want to see it? Just ask. 🥑
Flower Child
Lucy came into their lives November 2017. She had just been surrendered by her owner who was too elderly to care for a puppy with so much energy. She is a total daddy’s girl and has brought them so much joy.
Honorary Flower Children
Sadly Gabby and Molly won’t be allowed at the wedding but of course they hold a place on the special day.
Attendants
When Reagan was five and upset at one of her cousin’s wedding because she wasn’t a flower girl, she turned to Whitney and asked if Reagan could be a flower girl when Whitney gets married. Whitney warned Reagan that it might be awhile. Ten years later, Whitney is finally getting married. These three special cousins of Whitney will be helping take fun Polaroid pictures of guests for the guest book.
