We met on Bumble where we both swiped right. Tanner’s profile described himself to be a “tiny house enthusiast” and Whitney made claims of being “the ultimate hostess”. After weeks of chatting on the app we agreed to meet at Yard House where we went beer for beer and talked for five hours. On our second date Tanner picked Whitney up from her house to go see the movie Sausage Party. The movie was terrible but the evening lasted into the early morning hours with another night of extended conversation. After two more dates (dinner at Table 13 and brunch at the Drunken Donkey) we went on our fifth date to Addison Octoberfest where we ate at the Chamberlain’s event and then danced the night away at the bar. On this night we both agreed that we no longer wanted to see anybody but each other and we deleted our dating apps to make it official.
The Salty Pirate woke me up with promises of adventure. After visiting friends at the Aquarium, he asked me to leave the house for a few hours so that he could prepare. When I returned to our cove he had laid out lots of sparkly treasures along our dinner table. At the center was a beautiful oyster that he opened for me to reveal a gorgeous pearl ring. He offered it to me if I promised to sail with him forever. I agreed and we celebrated with a fantastic dinner at Chamberlains (steak house not fish market because fish are friends, not food) which is where we ate on our fifth date.
Being an avid discount shopper, registries have always been a point of contention for me. I don’t believe in paying full price for most things so to be forced to do so on a registry is cringe-worthy. So here are my notes to you: - If you find an item from our registry discounted somewhere else (or you get some sort of reward money back), by all means, please go with the discounted option. If we accidentally get two of something, I can easily return it. - Most of the items on the registry are more suggestive than definitive. If you know the best springboard pan out there because you are an avid cheesecake maker, then we look forward to your recommendation. - There were a few household items that I didn’t register for because I know places like Homegoods, Ross, or Tuesday Morning would have the best options. If you like to shop these stores, here are some ideas: large pool towels, fun glassware, plate chargers, napkins, placemats, or napkin rings in sets of 6. We are registered for a few things at several stores but the bulk of the items are on Amazon and Wayfair.
