The Wedding Website of Avery Brothers and Omar Sobhy
Meet our family and friends who are walking down the aisle with us.

Jill Doolittle

Matron of Honor

Jill and I met on her first day at Greenwood Elementary School in 5th grade. I talked her ear off in line for recess about my pet ferret who I thought was a girl but was actually a boy. Luckily that didn't scare her off and we've been inseparable ever since! Jill has been my best friend for over 20 years and our wedding day wouldn't be the same without her as my Matron of Honor.

Mari Kobayashi

Bridesmaid

Mari moved from Japan into our neighborhood in 3rd grade and within the first week I was over at her house asking if Mari wanted to play. Despite the fact that I didn't speak Japanese and Mari didn't speak English initially, we became fast friends. Our friendship has stood the test of time and distance for over 20 years!

Megan Pryze

Bridesmaid

Megan was my best dance buddy growing up. We met at Longwood Performing Arts at the age of 9 and spent 10+ hours a week at our dance studio together throughout middle and high school. After years of living in different places, we finally both live in Philadelphia and are having a blast!

Francisco Cortes

Bridesman

Fran and I met in Mr. Dunkel's high school Geometry class because my assigned seat was right behind his. This worked out really well for Fran since I let him copy the answers to my math homework at the beginning of every class. It worked out really well for me because that kid who was bad at math ended up becoming one of my best friends! After 15 years of friendship I can't wait for him to be my Bridesman on our wedding day.

Sami Myers

Bridesmaid

Sami and I met at Kennett High School and after spending a week at her family's beach house together, we became inseparable. It was an honor for me to be a bridesmaid at Sami's wedding to Chris (also our friend from high school!) and I can't wait to have her next to me when I marry Omar.

Danielle Fairweather

Bridesmaid

Danielle and I met when we both tried out for Whiplash Dance Team at Penn State. After tryouts we sat at the dorm room cafeteria together and were thrilled to find out we both made the team! We quickly became best friends and spent the next 4 years dancing together and 2 of those years living together. Dani has been by my side supporting me throughout college and every year after. I can't wait to be a bridesmaid in her wedding in April and have her return the favor in June!

Erin Dellavalle

Bridesmaid

I'll never forget seeing Erin for the first time in our Penn State Modern dance class. She was wearing a flowy pink dress and pearls and I couldn't help but notice how gorgeous she looked (meanwhile i was in old workout clothes). A month later when Danielle brought her to my apartment, I knew we were destined to be friends. Erin, Danielle, Brittany and I lived together for 2 amazing years. I was there when she met her husband Mike at one of our favorite PSU bars and was lucky to be a part of their wedding years later!

Sara Mitchell

Bridesmaid

I met Sara through Jill and we quickly bonded over our love of traveling. I was thrilled when I mentioned wanting to go to Southeast Asia to her and she was immediately down to plan a trip. I knew I had found my travel buddy! In the last 6 years we have explored Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam, Japan, Guatemala, Belize, Iceland and more together. We've seen and experienced so many incredible things together and I can't imagine not having her by my side as I say "I do!"

Amanda Sobhy

Bridesmaid

I met Omar's parents and sister Amanda for the first time at the Squash US Open. Amanda came up to me with a smile and a big hug right before her match and I knew at that moment that I would fit right in with the Sobhy/Larson family. Luckily both of my future sister-in-laws now live in Philadelphia, within a short walking distance of us. We love spending time with them and are grateful that they are so close!

Sabrina Sobhy

Bridesmaid

I remember Omar telling me after our first date that his sister Sabrina and I would get along like two peas in a pod, and he wasn't wrong! I’m so grateful that I have such wonderful future sister-in-laws and a true friendship with both Sabrina and Amanda. I can't wait to be able to officially call Sabrina "sister"!

John McBean

Best Man

I met John at a pizza joint in Baltimore and had to say hello after seeing 2 squash racquets sticking out of his backpack. Since then, together we've been enjoying good food, extreme sports, and each others company. John is one of the most fun, high energy, and eccentric people you'll ever meet.

Dom Velloze

Groomsman

Dom was the first person I met in college at Freshman Orientation and since then, he's been one of my best friends. We were fraternity brothers, pickup basketball teammates, and frequently mistaken for actual brothers. Even though we're not related, Dom will always be family.

Kyle Athayde

Groomsman

Kyle was one of my best friends in High School and a suitemate senior year. Kyle and Tyler are two of the most loyal friends that always have my back and are always a pleasure to hang out with.

Charles Loesch-Quintin

Groomsman

Omar and Charles have been buddies since the early years of Junior Squash. A mutual passion for sports, fitness and the outdoors has kept them together ever since.

Mike Kane

Groomsman

When in Canton and Fells Point together, Mike and I had the most epic early morning workouts at Canton Merritt. We then moved to the Maryland Club and expanded our friendship from the gym to the squash court. Mike is a great friend and a blast to hang and workout with.

Alex Brothers

Groomsman

Alex is Avery's older brother and the second sibling. We've had some great times visiting Alex and his wife Kelly at their home in Connecticut. We recently went on a ski trip with all of Avery's siblings to Park City this past February. Although Alex is more of a double black diamond skier and I stuck to the greens and blues (it was only my second time snowboarding), we made some really nice memories on that trip.

Justin Brothers

Groomsman

Justin is Avery's oldest brother. We frequently make the drive down to Myrtle Beach to visit Justin, Brittiny, Jack and Mae (and of course Siri and Ginger). We love to watch Jack play in his baseball tournaments and Mae perform at her dance recitals. We even got to watch Jack and Mae learn how to snowboard and ski for the first time this past February in Park City.

Mae Brothers

Flower Girl

My sweet little niece Mae is starting Kindergarten in the fall. She loves unicorns, princesses, and riding horses. She is following in her aunt's footsteps by taking ballet, tap, and acro classes. She is performing in her 4th consecutive Nutcracker ballet in December. Mae also loves attending Kumon Math classes!

Jack Brothers

Ring Bearer

My nephew and the first grandchild in the family. Jack is entering third grade in the fall. He loves the Phillies, surfing in the ocean off of Myrtle Beach, playing baseball for a Myrtle Beach travel team, legos, video games, and Oculus. He wants to be a robotics engineer when he grows up.
