FAQs

Question

Where should I stay?

Answer

We have reserved a room block at the Hilton Vallarta Riviera, and we recommend that all guests stay here during the duration of the wedding activities. This will be the hotel where the shuttle to the wedding will operate from, and it will also be where we plan to have our post-wedding resort day on Saturday, February 6. Please see the "Travel" tab for the room block link and further instructions or visit the following link: https://www.hilton.com/en/attend-my-event/pvrpahh-wedjam-4a141b44-799f-4354-bdcc-e2837ddbacd/

Question

Will there be transportation to and from the venue?

Answer

Yes! We’ve arranged shuttle services from the Hilton Vallarta Riveria to Puerto Magico, where a catamaran will transport all guests from to the wedding at Las Caletas. For any guests not staying at the Hilton Vallarta Riviera All-Inclusive, please plan to arrive at Puerto Magico with enough time for a 4:30 pm departure. See the "Travel" tab for more information!

Question

What should I wear to the wedding?

Answer

The ceremony and reception is on a beach in the jungle and accessible only by boat, so please dress comfortably and casually for a good time! Ties, jackets, and heels are unnecessary! Button down shirts, tropical shirts, polo shorts, and lightweight slacks are great. Anyone wearing dresses can wear whatever length they feel most comfortable in. Feel free to load up on patterns, colors, and fun! For footwear, there will be some uneven terrain and sand, so we recommend avoiding any heels. Sandals, dressy flats, or dress shoes all work!

Question

What should I wear to the welcome party?

Answer

Plan to wear what you would wear for a nice dinner in an outdoor garden. We will be outside and standing/mingling, so please plan to wear comfortable shoes.

Question

Will the ceremony be outside?

Answer

Yes, and Puerto Vallarta is beautiful in February. The ceremony will be outside on a beach, dinner will follow in a covered outdoor area, and the dance floor will be outside on the beach as well. Rain in Puerto Vallarta in February is unlikely, but we have a backup plan at the venue just in case.

Question

Any recommendations for things to do while we are here?

Answer

Yes! Our hope is that everyone has a fantastic vacation while visiting Puerto Vallarta. Please see the "Things to Do" section of our website for our recommendations, but please also do not hesitate to reach out to either of us to help plan your trip!

Question

How do I get around?

Answer

Ubers are easy, plentiful, inexpensive and safe in Puerto Vallarta. We recommend using Uber to get around, and taxis are also available throughout downtown and at any hotels. We recommend using a pre-booked Airport Transfer to get to and from the airport. Please see the "Travel" tab for airport transfer information.
