As most modern day fairytale stories go, Sean and Nicole met at a Music Festival, Hudson (Mudson) Project the summer of 2014. Nicole had attended the festival with her college friends, and was introduced to Sean as one of their high school friends. They instantly connected and were inseparable until a muddy storm approached and forced the weekend to come to a quick end. Sean knew Nicole was special and befriended her on Facebook instantly messaging her, and Nicole realized this new budding friendship meant more than her data plan (before unlimited existed)! The two began talking non-stop becoming best friends. August 29th, 2014 Sean asked Nicole on their first unofficial date to Jeremy's Ale House in the city. Not your typical first date venue (IYKYK)! Together they enjoyed apple picking, Parks and Rec, Gotham, Nicole pretending she enjoyed football, Bassnectar at MSG and talking throughout all hours of the day.

After 2.5 years of being by each other's side through college graduations, new jobs, new apartments and moving back home, they officially took their relationship to the next level by making it official!

3 years later of being a long distance couple, Sean and Nicole found the perfect apartment in Hicksville, NY. Agreeing to move onto Long Island with the hopes of being near all their friends, Nicole was eager to save on gas and avoid the crazy traffic. Two months after moving in, Nicole and Sean went from being a weekend couple to quarantine lockdown partners. Even with their desks 3 feet apart from each other, Sean knew that he could not live without Nicole and vice versa. Throughout 2020, they not only learned to live together and be roommates, but also learned how to make pizza, brownies, cook many many meals, lots of cleaning, but most importantly learned that they could not live without each other.

On their 4 year anniversary, with plans to travel to Colorado during a pandemic, Sean decided he wanted to add a little surprise. The adventure started with 2 masks and face shield (Covid safe) followed by a beautiful airbnb right off Breckenridge mountain. They enjoyed a day of hiking, followed by what was supposed to be a normal day of skiing. Saturday morning after making breakfast, they decided to venture off in their ski gear to take the gondola up the mountain. As with any fairytale, there always needs to be a plot twist, this one happens to be a zipper keeping Sean's coat pocket completely stuck & not being able to get to his phone. Of course Nicole gave him difficulty with not having his phone in his chest pocket (where most phones go in ski jackets). Frustrated & struggling, they went and found pliers to pry open Sean's jacket pocket. Little did Nicole know, there was a reason for all of this. After a few rides down the mountain Sean suggested taking 1 of the 3 lifts that were open that day. (Just to give you perspective there were 9 out of 160 trails open on the mountain, that's how early into the season they went.) While going up the lift, Sean mentioned to Nicole that he had to fix his boot & to pull off once they reached the top. After pausing on the side, Sean asked Nicole for help taking her out of her skis, and began to get down on one knee. Oblivious to it all, Nicole thought Sean was reaching into this chest pocket to get a tool for his boot. (Just an FYI Sean swore up and down he wasn't proposing this trip!) Little did she realize, he began to pull out a string with one end tied in the shape of a circle & the other side a beautiful 💍 ! Nicole (ugly) cried happy tears and of course said yes to the love of her life! Not only did Sean pull off an epic proposal, but Sean asked Nicole's brother Scott to film the entire proposal and share this special occasion with them!
