Flight Options

Flight Options: Option A: (less expensive, short drive from airport to Governor's Harbor, more of a hassle) 1. Fly into Nassau (NAS) via Airline of choice 2. Go through customs & re-check luggage 3. Fly Pineapple Air or Southern Air Charter from NAS to Governor's Harbour Airport (GHB) in Eleuthera 4. Rental car/taxi is a 10 min drive from GHB to city of Governor's Harbour ***Book your ticket for the main flight into Nassau early in the day so that you have enough time to make the next flight to Governor's Harbour in the afternoon. Pineapple air only flies on certain days. Southern Air Charter seems to have more options. Option B: (more expensive, longer drive from airport to Governor's Harbour, less hassle) 1. Fly into North Eleuthera Airport (major airlines only fly to this airport on certain days) 2. Take a cab (~$100 per couple) or rent a car and drive 1 hour to Governor's Harbour You can also look Bahama Ferries (ferry from Nassau to Eleuthera) for $150 for a 2 hour ride.

Airports

North Eleuthera Airport (ELH): Several fights per day fly in and out of ELH airport, which is approximately an hour drive north of Governors Harbor, where all wedding festivities will be. Governors Harbor Airport (GHB): This airport is located approximately 10 minutes from our wedding location. However, there are a limited number of flights, weekly. Rock Sound International Airport (RSD): RSD is approximately 45 minutes south of the wedding festivities.

There are several rental car companies that serve the island, but we highly recommend Arthur Turnquest. Please call or email Arthur directly to secure your rental. For an additional (nominal) fee, he will meet you at North Eleuthera airport. Arthur will not only orient you to your rental car, but also the island.
