Quincy Mine
This underground mine tour gives a great history lesson of the Copper Country and is a must see for anyone visiting the area for the first time. Dress warmly though because it's always around 40 degrees underground no matter the weather above.
Brockway Mountain Drive
Drive to the top of this mountain for views of Lake Superior and Copper Harbor. No hiking required!
Mount Bohemia
The spot Kyle proposed. During the fall season, they offer chair lift rides to the top to enjoy the colors.
The Jampot
A monastery on Lake Superior that specializes in home made jams and sweets. This spot is also right next to Jacob's Falls so it's a perfect place to enjoy the beauty and tastes of the UP.
Keweenaw Adventure Company
Rent a bike or kayak here if you are feeling adventurous! They also do guided tours so you can see the most of the area.
Into the Woods Mini Golf & Garden
Mini golf if you feel like embracing your inner kid
Keweenaw Mountain Lodge
The lodge offers 9 holes of golf as well as disc golf. Just not during the reception, okay?
Hunter's Point Park
Lovely hike along Lake Superior. Not very difficult, so even the most novice hiker can enjoy the sites on this one!
Eagle Harbor Lighthouse
If the lighthouse isn't open for tours when you go, you can still get great views of Lake Superior from the platform nearby.
Estivant Pines Hiking Trail
Old growth forest. The walking trails here are relatively easy as long as you don't go in search of the Fallen Giant.
Brickside Brewery
There's beer here and it's good. Do I need to say more?
Fitzgerald's Restaurant
Great food and a view of Lake Superior from every table. Make sure to call ahead though, this place books up fast!
Harbor Haus Restaurant
The most upscale restaurant in this neck of the woods. We celebrated my 23rd birthday here and I've never felt more adult.
Michigan House Cafe and Brew Pub
A bit of a drive from the Copper Harbor area, but if you are out doing some exploring in Calumet this place has great food and is in a beautiful historic building.
The Calumet Theatre
An opera house dating back to the 1900s that is still serving as a theater today.
Mount Lookout
People looking for a bit more of a hike will enjoy this one. The views are worth it.
Keweenaw Coffee Works
We buy most of our coffee from here and their new store is worth the drive.
Keweenaw Brewing Company Taproom
Our favorite place for me to beat Kyle at cribbage. A must go if you are in Houghton for the day. The beer selection is between craft and conventional (even my dad likes the Pick Axe Blonde).
Gemignani's Italian Restaurant
A cute little Italian place where we like to celebrate things like birthdays, graduations, and Thursdays.
Denali Restaurant
An Alaskan themed restaurant with fresh Lake Superior fish and a large menu.
Bete Grise Preserve
We enjoy snowshoeing here, but hopefully there won't be any of that in September.
