Elevation gain is 157 ft The half-mile hike up Putney Mountain is easy for almost everyone, and it yields the best view for the least effort in all of New England. Sneakers are fine! There is usually a hawk watch going on at the summit. Great photo ops and an incredible, 360 degree view of the surrounding, mountainous landscape.

Elevation gain is 1,053 ft to the summit The Wantastiquet Mountain Trail offers Brattleboro visitors everything needed for a perfect day hike. This short round trip hike, just under 4 miles, packs a lot into it. The Farm is open for you to enjoy seven days a week from dawn to dusk. The entire Farm comprises a vast and free, outdoor museum that utilizes interpretive signage and installations to reveal the rich cultural and natural history of this place and convey lessons for living well with the land and environment today and in the future. The Goat Playground is home to our herd of playful and curious goats. The Piggery is the home to Carlos the Ox, Pip, and Sassy the donkey. Explore the expansive 10-mile trail network. Located on Abenaki lands, the trails are free and open to the public. Access the trail network from five different trailheads to explore the Nature Trail, Ice Pond, Woodlands Interpretive Trail, and Stone Tower.
