Flight
Alaska Airlines is the primary airline that flies in and out of Juneau, and their service is excellent and efficient. You may look into booking your flights soon, and secure your seat early if you are flying in for the wedding! For information about Juneau International Airport, we have included a link to their Passenger Services page here: <https://juneau.org/airport/passenger-services>
Rental Car
If you are looking to rent a vehicle in Juneau, renting through Turo comes highly recommended by Juneau residents for visitors. Turo is a car sharing program through which locals rent out their own vehicles by the day, and is far more affordable (and reliable!) than the local Enterprise. Check it out!
Travel Note
Many Juneau residents have Airbnb homes and apartments available to rent. If you are looking for a more unique stay, there are quite a range of amenities available and many are in close proximity to walking/hiking trails and beach access.
Travel Note
Just as with Airbnb, Vrbo also offers a variety of stays in Juneau with close proximities to trails and beaches or local restaurants and businesses.
Travel Note
Juneau's city bus system is very reliable public transportation. Rides are $2 per person, and stops are located throughout most areas of Juneau. However, the city bus does not drive out towards north Douglas to Eaglecrest Ski Area, so alternate transportation to and from the venue will need to be arranged. If your hotel or Airbnb is not located downtown, you may opt to take the bus closer and then grabbing a taxi to the venue. Might save you on $! Please see their map for route details.
Travel Note
Capital Transit offers a Ride Free Zone for locals and visitors who may experience mobility issues or are interested in getting to the Capital, the Juneau-Douglas City Museum, the Dimond Courthouse, the hostel or other locations at the top of the hill. There are four bus stops in the Ride Free Zone– the Marine Parking Garage (Public Library), on Franklin Street between the Baranof and Alaskan Hotel, on Fourth Street near Rainbow Foods, and the Downtown Transit Center. The map is linked here, and Capital Transit can be contacted at (907) 789-6901 for questions.
