How it started: Our first meeting was at church camp through our local youth groups in Fall of 2012, when we were freshmen in high school. We spent time together in the same group of friends though we weren't familiar enough to connect when away from the campgrounds. Eventually, our mutual friend group dwindled and we found ourselves spending more time together, both at and away from camp, during our senior year. We officially started dating on April 21st, 2016 and have been growing ever closer together since. How it's going: We moved to Juneau in 2021 after attaining our college degrees in Texas. We live together with our two dogs, Dante and Bentley, and are fortunate to share a house close to work. Our friends and growing connections have given us new experiences and lasting memories fortified by stunning mountain and ocean views. Charlie proposed on December 18th, 2022 while surrounded by snow-laden trees after felling our first Christmas tree on North Douglas island. We are excited to get married on our 8th anniversary of becoming a couple in this beautiful place we call home!
