It all started at Sidelines, where we both showed up solo to the Stonewall Sports kickball league free agent mixer, hoping to make new friends and join a team. Zach, being the social butterfly he is, immediately spotted Alex at the bar and introduced himself. (Little did Alex know, Zach was secretly hoping to make one friend—ideally someone who wouldn’t mind joining his team.) After some mingling and meeting potential teammates, Zach and Alex somehow found their way back to each other. Realizing they’d both rather team up together than with random strangers, they exchanged numbers and—plot twist—they discovered they lived across the street from one another. Classic. The next day, Alex, ever the fitness enthusiast, invited Zach to meet him at the gym. Zach, of course, was all in, mostly for the chance to spend more time with Alex (and maybe sneak in a little workout). Fast forward a couple of days, and Alex casually invited Zach to dinner. It started as a chill hangout, but—surprise!—it quickly turned into a romantic evening that neither of them will ever forget. And as they say, the rest is history! From teammates to partners in crime, here we are, ready to take on the biggest game of all: marriage!
