Our favorite things to do in Kauai
Hanalei Bay
One of our favorite beaches to visit while we are in the North Shore in Kauai. Lots of beach, easy to access, and in a sheltered bay. You will see surf classes, sea turtles, and gentle waves.

Hanalei Bread Company. Great coffee and pastries, good morning pit stop prior to any adventures.
Queen’s Bath
Bit of a hike, slick if raining.. Half a mile to get to there from the beginning of the trail. Easy to find instructions on Google. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Queen%27s_Bath
Ke'e Beach
Our favorite beach at the end of the road, furthest north you can drive and where the highway ends. After some historical flooding a couple years back, the road and parking rules have changed. You will now have to reserve a parking space online to park up there and parking on the side of the road is no longer allowed. There are also shuttles running every 15 minutes in case you don't want to drive up there, the roads were pretty sketch but are more upgraded now. The Dolphin Restaurant
Great seafood options, open and airy, has a fish market attached as well.
Kapaʻa
Funky little town on the Eastside of the island. Lots of little shops, cafes, restaurants, boardwalk/biking trails, and food carts.
Kīlauea Lighthouse
Worth a photo opp
Ho'opi'i Falls
Easy mile hike to a beautiful waterfall hidden in the middle of neighborhood. There is no official parking or trailhead so be courteous to he locals when parking. See for more info https://www.journeyera.com/hoopii-falls-trail-kauai/
Hanakapiai Falls- Hike

Foodland
Great grocery store for all your needs, surprisingly good poke, just follow the locals! A little pricey but very convenient, there is also a Costco in Lihue closer to the airport if you're looking for more bulk items.
