*Ashlynn was NOT working the night these events took place....hehe* Michael had just moved from Indiana to Colorado to start his role as manager at the Downtown Denver location of RockBottom Brewery. It was his VERY FIRST training shift with one of the other managers, Shawn. Around 10:30pm Ashlynn came barging in (potentially intoxicated) with one of her bestfriends/ bridesmaids Whitney (who may have also been intoxicated but none the less Ashlynn's best hype woman). Shawn and Michael were at the front door of the restaurant when Ashlynn and Whitney frolicked in. Shawn, looks at Michael saying "Yes this is Ashlynn, she works here and she is one of our cocktail closers and bartenders." Before Michael could say anything Ashlynn ran over may or may not have sexually harassed Michael and said "HELLOOO WELCOME!!" Whitney, mortified, but also supportive says "Oh my God! Ashlynn that is your manager!...Also hi I'm Whitney, Ashlynn's roommate. I promise she doesn't do that all the time" Shawn responded "Yes....she does do that all the time. You will get used to it." And lookie here folks he definitely got used to it and became a lot more accepting because you are on our wedding website! HAHA! The following months came with a lot of laughs, friendship and then our first date. Our relationship was a secret for about 8 months due to the fact that Michael was one of Ashlynn's managers, but we finally let it out that we were in a relationship and our ship sailed into the sunset with two new careers, and over 3 years of love, fun, and adventure. We are beyond excited to share our special day with all of you, here is to hitting RockBottom and finding love all at the same time. We really did find love in a hopeless place! PS. Michael and Ashlynn were on a family camping trip with Ashlynn's parents and siblings at Glacier camping ground in Rocky Mountain National Park. Ashlynn's mom and step dad woke up early to scope out a prime location for Michael to pop the question! Michael and Ashlynn's parents were off in the corner whispering when Ashlynn came over and asked "What are you talking about?" Ashlynn's mom witty and quick responded "Christmas Presents! It will be here before you know it!" Little did Ashlynn know she was about to be asked a question that would change her life forever. The family packed up and got ready for a hike and some fishing. On the way up the trail, Michael, to put it quiet simply was freaking the hell out, and his nerves were starting to show. They finally reached Sprague Lake, the final destination. Ashlynn and Michael started looking for a fishing spot when Michael yelled out "Look! Babe! A fish!" Ashlynn frantically looking and searching the water, didn't see anything. Annoyed, she says "I don't see a fish, what are you talking about?" Michael again, says "Look! It is literally right there!" *This happened about 2 or 3 more times* Ashlynn, super annoyed yells "Babe. There is no effing fish!" Turns around and low and behold, down on one knee, there Michael was with Ashlynn's mom recording, and her family watching. I'm sure you can all imagine what happened next! It was such an exciting time, and Sprague Lake will forever hold such a special place to Ashlynn and Michael.
