Question

Any Travel Tips for Greece?

Answer

Time Difference: Greece is 7 hours ahead of Eastern Time. Currency: Greece uses the Euro (€). Credit cards are widely accepted, except for American Express. Having cash on hand is helpful for taxis and small shops. You can contact your local bank 1-2 weeks ahead of travel and they can order euros for you. This will get you a better exchange rate than doing it in Greece. Electrical outlets: Greece uses Type C plugs. U.S. travelers will need a plug adaptor. You can find them on Amazon. We use the "2 Pack European Travel Plug Adapter, VINTAR International Power Plug Adapter with 1 USB C, 2 American Outlets and 3 USB Ports, 6 in 1 Travel Essentials to Most of Europe Greece, Italy(Type C)." Voltage: Greece operates on 220-240V. This is very important when packing hair tools and steamers. For example, the Dyson blow dryer is 110-120V. You can not use it in Greece. Using a voltage converter can damage it. Please check the voltage on your tools and check to see if it is "dual voltage." A voltage convertor is not necessary for phone/computer chargers. Cell Service: You can either get international service through your mobile carrier or you can set up an international e-sim. This will be important to set up prior to arriving to Greece as it will be helpful for navigation, transportation, and staying connected.

Question

I want to extend my Greece trip, where should I go?

Answer

Greece is full of incredible destinations, and we'd love to share a few of our favorites! Santorini- Stunning sunsets, cliffside views, and romantic vibes. Highly recommend staying in Oia. Milos- Ashley's favorite greek island. Incredible food and beaches. We've been to Greece twice now, and we both agree the best greek food we've ever had was here. A great option for the adventurous soul. Paros- Great mix of beaches, amazing food and fun nightlife. Please feel free to reach out to us for any recommendations when planning your trip! Some additional islands we wish to visit next: Lefkada Folegandros Crete Corfu Naxos Sifnos Zakynthos

Question

Is the Paros trip mandatory?

Answer

Not at all! Paros is completely optional! We're treating this part of the wedding as a friendmoon for friends and family who want to join us. If you can't make it, don't worry because Athens will be amazing too. We can't wait to celebrate with you!
