What is the weather like?

Answer

As of 05/29, the weather between June 5 - June 8 will be in the mid-to-high 70's during the day and low 60's at night! What this means is that in the direct sun during the daytime you will be warm, maybe even hot + will want sunscreen if hanging around outside. In the shade will feel PERFECT! After sunset, it will likely be a little chilly & breezy. We always recommend layers....you'd be surprised how cold you can feel in LA!

How will I get around?

Answer

Rental car or rideshare (Uber, Lyft) is easiest. Waymo does not have service as far north as our wedding venue/reception but they do go to most other parts of LA. For Waymo, you can use the code "ASHLEYBRQZ" for $10 off your first ride. LA Metro can be a great alternative! $1.75/ride with free transfers within 2 hours. A few loaded public transit cards will be available at the reception for out-of-towners or you can use a debit/credit card to pay to ride.

What time do I arrive?

Answer

If invited to the ceremony, please arrive at Old Brown House NO LATER than 3pm PST on Saturday, June 6. For the reception, please arrive at Barcade by 4pm PST. You MUST bring your ID to enter. If driving yourself, please add 5ish mins to allow yourself to find nearby parking! Old Brown House is a 4 minute, flat, easy walk to Barcade so you do not have to move your vehicle if attending both.

What do I wear?

Answer

Whatever you want (except jeans, please)! The soon-to-be newlyweds will be wearing outfits with fun accessories that are mostly red, pink, black, and white. Hearts, Western Punk, Handmade, Vintage Whimsy, Romantic Vegas, and Madonna Inn are all descriptors we would use for the vibes & aesthetics we are aiming for! Have fun!

Is there dedicated parking?

Answer

No. Street parking only (neighborhood & metered). The area is safe to leave your car parked during festivities. Please read all street signs before parking. There is a bus stop outside of Barcade for Metro bus #182.

Can I bring a date or friend with me?

Answer

Not unless you specified with us in advanced or RSVP'd accordingly. The 7pm+ afterparty/bar crawl is open to any & all!

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

No need, we will have some options for you! We will be serving food & desserts that will include both meatless and gluten-free options. There are also a ton of yummy food spots nearby for additional grubbin'!

Will there be alcohol?

Yes! We will have 3 drink tickets per person at Barcade.

Sure can! We have a virtual guestbook that will stay active until June 15, 2026. Leave a voicemail for us at 913-357-6293. We will receive a copy of everyone's messages after then.
