In 2003, a little blonde-haired, green-eyed Argentine moved to the States. Though we crossed paths through grade school and high school, we were nothing more than casual classmates. It wasn't until years later that our paths would truly align. After an adventurous college journey, growing into who we are today, Ashley took a leap of faith and added Gonzalo on Snapchat. At the time, we were both working nights—her at the hospital, him on drilling rigs—but soon found comfort in each other's company. The friendship that had started all those years ago quickly became the strong foundation we needed to build something much more. Thanksgiving 2017 was a turning point—after sharing some boozy cocktails, we rekindled the connection that had always been there. From that moment on, we became inseparable. Gonzalo moved to Dallas, then to New Jersey, and despite the miles between us, our long-distance relationship was filled with adventures—pretending to be royalty as we explored New York City together during every visit. Getting engaged in Central Park was a moment that held so much meaning—our love had withstood the test of a pandemic and the challenges of distance, and now we were about to embark on forever. We are beyond thrilled to finally be together, and we can’t wait to see what the future holds.
