Savannah

The Wedding Website of Ashley Loyd and Carl Schlotman
We encourage you to explore the city where we fell in love! Over the years, we've compiled an extensive list of our personal favorite Savannah spots for dining. We also included some things we like to do/see while in town. Hope you enjoy!
Forsyth Park

Forsyth Park

Savannah, GA 31401

Take a stroll down to the Forsyth Park fountain. It's a must see in Sav! We've spent many days jogging around this park. They also have a farmer's market year-round every Saturday morning that opens at 9am.

Plant Riverside District

Plant Riverside District

400 W River St, Savannah, GA 31401

Over the last few years, Plant Riverside district was built along the Savannah River. We recommend walking down there for the best views of the bridge! It's also prime location to watch container cargo ships go in and out of the Port of Savannah...fun fact: it's the 4th largest port in the country! Keep walking along River Street and you'll find little souvenir shops and restaurants. We love Savannah Candy Kitchen- Carl never leaves Savannah without buying a big bag of peanut brittle!

West Broughton Street

West Broughton Street

West Broughton Street, Savannah, GA 31401

Consider this Main Street of Savannah...it has lots of shops to explore!

The Coffee Fox - Broughton St.

The Coffee Fox - Broughton St.

102 West Broughton Street, Savannah, GA 31401

We can't mention coffee without suggesting The Coffee Fox. We may be partial because Carl's old apartment is directly above this place. We would smell coffee all day long when he lived in this building!

Savannah Coffee Roasters

Savannah Coffee Roasters

This is our longtime favorite coffee spot. Order the Honey Cinnamon Oat Latte- it never disappoints! We also love sharing a slice of the pavlova dessert!

Mirabelle Savannah

Mirabelle Savannah

313 Abercorn Street, Savannah, GA 31401

Located directly in front of our church. This tiny coffee spot is so cute!

J. Christopher's

122 East Liberty, Savannah, GA 31401

We've spent many breakfasts here after the early morning mass at our church! It has your favorite standard breakfast platters. Located around the corner from the Cathedral.

Leopold's Ice Cream

Leopold's Ice Cream

212 East Broughton Street, Savannah, GA 31401

Founded in 1919, this place is iconic in Savannah. You can’t leave without stopping at this old fashioned soda fountain shop. It’s named one of the top 10 ice cream parlors in the world!

Little Duck Diner

150 West Saint Julian Street, Savannah, GA 31401

This is a "vintage chic diner" with a modern twist. Their brunch is great! They have outdoor dining, which is a nice plus.

The Collins Quarter

The Collins Quarter

151 Bull Street, Savannah, GA 31401

A Savannah staple. Please note this will be packed for a weekend brunch! We also enjoy it for dinner. You'll need to make reservations.

Goose Feathers Cafe & Bakery

39 Barnard Street, Savannah, GA 31401

The line is usually long because it's always a great casual breakfast! It has all the basics!

The Olde Pink House

The Olde Pink House

23 Abercorn Street, Savannah, GA 31401

We can't talk about Savannah without mentioning The Olde Pink House. This historical mansion was built in 1771. It specializes in classic southern cuisine. A must-see for all tourists to experience at least once! Reservations are required. Go to the cellar and you'll find Planter's Tavern- a dark, hidden bar that serves food and often has live music.

Mrs. Wilkes Dining Room

107 West Jones Street, Savannah, GA 31401

A lunch spot located on one of the most historic streets in America. It's family style seating that serves southern food. It's famous and always has a line out the door. It's worth the experience!

Crystal Beer Parlor

301 West Jones Street, Savannah, GA 31401

Another historic Savannah staple! Great for lunch or a drink while watching a game. They have an awesome menu! This place is the 2nd oldest restaurant in Savannah that opened in 1933 during the Great Depression.

Fire Street Food

Fire Street Food

13 East Perry Street, Savannah, GA 31401

Come here for an asian fusion lunch! They're speedy quick and always delish. The bonus is that they have bubble tea. Located in Chippewa Square (across the street from Perry Lane Hotel).

Zunzi's

236 Drayton Street, Savannah, GA 31401

This is a popular lunch place in Sav that locals flock to. Located directly beside the Perry Lane Hotel. It has the best sandwiches in town. It's South African inspired! We've always ordered online for a quick pickup.

Tybee Island Beach

Tybee Island Beach

Tybee Island, GA 31328

This is a hop, skip, & jump down Hwy 80...Tybee Island beach is located approximately 25 minutes from downtown Savannah. It's the perfect, quick getaway! We love to walk the beach together and it's typically not crowded. Check out the Tybee Island Lighthouse while you're there!

Gryphon Tea Room

337 Bull Street, Savannah, GA 31401

Want a fancy brunch/lunch with tea service and a unique atmosphere? Come here.

Garibaldi's Savannah

Garibaldi's Savannah

315 West Congress Street, Savannah, GA 31401

We love this date night spot for steak and wine! It’s Carl’s favorite restaurant:)

Husk Savannah

12 West Oglethorpe Avenue, Savannah, GA 31401

This is a great farm-to-table dinner spot. They specialize in local ingredients and I hear their oysters are great! It also has a cool bar.

Madame Butterfly

Madame Butterfly

110 West Congress Street, Savannah, GA 31401

Ashley's current favorite restaurant in Sav! It's a cool Korean steakhouse. We usually make reservations for the main dining room and order bibimbap and bang shrimp to share:)

Flying Monk Noodle Bar

5 West Broughton Street, Savannah, GA 31401

We've spent many evenings here...we like the pho, ramen, and pad thai! You can't go wrong with anything on the menu. They also have takeout...which is great to walk down to the river and enjoy.

Coco and Moss

Coco and Moss

30 Barnard Street, Savannah, GA 31401

If you're in the mood for sushi, poke bowls, and good cocktails, this is your spot. It's a quaint little restaurant that you can usually just walk in for a table.

Vinnie Van GoGo's

317 West Bryan Street, Savannah, GA 31401

If you're in the mood for the best pizza in downtown Sav, this is your place. It's our go-to for takeout pizza...all the natives will agree! Located in the City Market.

Peregrin Rooftop Bar

Peregrin Rooftop Bar

256 East Perry Street, Savannah, GA 31401

This is our favorite rooftop bar in Sav! It's central location provides the best views of the whole city. It's located on top of the Perry Lane Hotel…accessible through the elevators in the north tower (main lobby). You must try the frosé if available!

Myrtle & Rose Rooftop Bar

Myrtle & Rose Rooftop Bar

500 West River Street, Savannah, GA 31401

Come here for pre-dinner drinks at sunset. Out of all the rooftop bars along the Savannah River, this is probably our favorite. It's located on the top of the JW Marriott but anyone can access it from the outdoor elevator. It has both outdoor and indoor seating.
