It's a 6 minute drive from Perry Lane Hotel to The Savannah Golf Club.
There will be a 1.5-2 hour intermission between the ceremony and reception. We recommend walking over to Peregrin (the rooftop bar at the Perry Lane Hotel) to hangout. But you can do anything you desire- relax, freshen up, nap, grab a coffee, etc! *Two white trolleys will pick up guests at 4:30pm at Chippewa Square* (located across the street from our hotel) and will circle back around to pick up again. Cocktail hour starts at 5pm.
The wedding dress code is black-tie. Gentlemen should wear tuxedos. The ladies should wear floor length evening gowns.
The ceremony is being held in a Roman catholic basilica. With this comes many traditional rules that must be followed. There cannot be any distractions during the liturgy. Phones must be silenced upon entering. No photos or videos are permitted when the ceremony begins at 2pm. Also note that food and beverages are not allowed, except water.
Yes, the Historic District of Savannah has an open container policy. It's one of the very few cities in the country with this law. Many bars and restaurants offer to-go cups. Alcohol is permitted in public as long as it's in a 16 ounce plastic cup.
All of the room block hotels offer valet parking. There are many parking decks downtown, but you may want to drop off your luggage if you choose this route. You can also use street parking...all street parking utilizes the ParkSavannah mobile app to add time to your parking spot. If you decide to drive to the church ceremony, there is limited street parking surrounding the Cathedral. If you choose to drive to the reception, it has a large parking lot.
This is an adult only affair. There will be an open bar and we want our guests to be able to enjoy themselves in celebration of our marriage. It's also important to note that our venue does not allow children.
