Carl and Ashley met on a dating app in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. They went out for drinks on their first date on May 31st, 2018 at The Katharine. It was a dreary and rainy evening, but the date was magical. It felt like meeting an old friend for the first time. They talked for 3 hours until the bar closed! The date ended with a hug and they parted ways...until Carl promptly asked Ashley out again the next morning for a second date later that week. The rest is history! They were inseparable until Carl moved to Savannah, Georgia 3 months later for a new job. He lived in downtown Savannah for a year before relocating to Austin, Texas. They dated long distance for nearly 3 years until Ashley graduated nursing school. She moved to Austin and started her new career in February 2021. After many memories and milestones in their relationship, Carl proposed in their favorite Savannah square on August 18th, 2023...and here we are. Engaged to be married!
