If wine isn’t your style, Charlottesville also boasts a fantastic selection of breweries, cideries, distilleries, and other craft beverage spots to enjoy on a summer afternoon.

Thomas Jefferson's Monticello

Monticello is a beautiful historic site just outside of Charlottesville. We highly recommend adding this stop to your list!

Downtown Mall

This historic outdoor mall is one of Charlottesville's highlights. We recommend checking out "Fridays After Five" at the Ting Pavilion- starting at 5:30 on Friday afternoon!

UVA's Historic Campus

Take a stroll through our alma mater’s beautiful historic Grounds! We recommend visiting the iconic Rotunda and the Lawn at the heart of campus, exploring the surrounding gardens, or stopping by the Special Collections Library. If you have time, consider a tour of the Rotunda to learn more about UVA’s history.

Carter Mountain Orchard

If you're in town Thursday evening, we recommend stopping by Carter Mountain for their "Thursday Evening Sunset Series"- including live music, cider from the local Bold Rock cidery, food trucks, their famous apple cider donuts, and beautiful sunset views! Tickets may be required, so check the website before you go!

Chiles Peach Orchard

Chiles is located in Ashley's hometown (Crozet). They offer pick-your-own fruits like peaches, strawberries, blueberries, and blackberries, as well as a variety of local treats and ice cream!
