1 DAY TO GO!

EXT- LOS ANGELES- MAR 2015- DAY One day Ashley decided to write a FILM SCRIPT. Turns out, it's kinda hard so a colleague offered to introduce her to one of his writer friends. INT- BAR TOSCANA- NIGHT ASHLEY met ROB at an Italian restaurant in BRENTWOOD, the city where they both lived. They discussed the script over drinks which turned into dinner. What happens from there depends on who you ask. Rob will tell you it was LOVE AT FIRST SIGHT. Ashley will tell you Rob seemed nice and she was grateful for his time and feedback but REALLY DIDN'T THINK MUCH MORE OF IT. Rob will tell you Ashley knew they were being SET UP and is just down-playing her feelings of TRUE LOVE. I assure you I DID NOT and WAS NOT 😉 Regardless, they cordially parted ways that evening and that was that. CUT TO: 1 MONTH LATER Ashley made some script changes but now had a few new questions. She debated whether or not to email Rob since they hadn't spoken since they met but alas... Turns out Rob was "playing it cool" by waiting the requisite 3 days but during that time, he took a fateful trip to IKEA and unknowingly contracted CHICKEN POX. Within a week he was laid up with a full blown case and having never had them as a child, it hit him pretty hard. Ashley felt terrible and asked why he didn't reach out for help since she lived so close. Rob said he was embarrassed and didn't want her to see him like that. (He would later show her a picture as proof.) On May 1, 2015, after making a full recovery, Rob finally asked Ashley out on a REAL FIRST DATE. EXT- MALIBU - NOV 2019- SUNSET Rob and Ashley went for a drive on PCH. They pulled into MALIBU BLUFFS PARK to watch the SUNSET and it was there that Rob PROPOSED. Despite the fact they moved in together 6 months after meeting and then bought a house in 2017, it still took Rob 4 YEARS to wear Ashley down. Through it all, he remained patient and persistent and Ashley FINALLY said YES... Just in time for the world to shut down for COVID.
