Pool Time at the Westin
87,000 square feet of pool playground, including a 270-foot water slide. The July 4th holiday means crowds and warm weather. Pool and beach area seating – and shade – will be hard to come by. But, a limited number of cabanas and daybeds are available and will sell out quickly. If interested, we strongly encourage you to book now – you can cancel later. Golf
There are 15 golf courses on Maui, including two in the Ka'anapali resort area. Several of our guests are planning to play a round or two during their stay - if you're interested in joining please reach out to Jay and he will connect the golfers for pairings.
Sunset Cruise & Snorkeling
Spots are being held for a sunset live music cruise in the late afternoon/early evening on July 5. This is an optional activity – FYI, Ashley and Marley are not joining, but Jay will be on-board “Ka’anapali’s FUN BOAT.” The catamaran picks up and drops off on the beach in front of the Westin. Approx. pricing is: $90/adult; $70/teen; $60/child and includes appetizers and an open bar. Sea Maui also offers several snorkeling outings leaving directly from Ka’anapali Beach. Fleetwood's on Front Street
As if a restaurant and rock & roll art gallery owned by the drummer of Fleetwood Mac wasn't enough, on Wednesdays and Friday-Sunday "The Mad Bagpiper" performs a sunset ceremony on the rooftop deck. Live music multiple times daily. Reservations are highly recommended. Fleetwood's takes reservations 31 days in advance.
Black Rock Cliff Dive Ceremony
A conch shell and torch lighting signal the start of the nightly ritual of Lele Kawa, or cliff diving. One by one the torches are lit as the diver makes his way to Black Rock. Once he reaches the summit he offers his torch and a flower lei to the ocean and takes the plunge. You can watch for free from the nearby Sheraton or anywhere along the north end of Ka'anapali Beach.
Cheeseburger In Paradise
Start with a world-class oceanfront location in Lahaina (the original deal was the back end of a five-year lease with an option to renew that was lost in a poker game). Add cheeseburgers, fruity drinks, local brews and Rock & roll and you have yourself a Maui landmark.
Maui Brewing Co.
Handcrafted beer, hard seltzer and sodas. Tater tots are the local fave here, loaded with bacon, beer cheese sauce, onion and jalapeno. Pair those tots with a Coconut Hiwa Porter and thank us later.
Breakwall Shave Ice
When Guy Fieri films an episode of Diners, Drive-Ins & Dives at a shave ice shop you know something bananas is happening. He went for the boozy Pina Colada adult shave ice. They also have Acai bowls, nitro coffee, smoothies, ice cream and Dole Whip. All aboard the bus to Flavortown!
Hana Highway
If you've done it before you know this is an experience-of-a-lifetime. Fair warning, it takes all day and the road is narrow and windy, but the views are stunning and Aunty Sandy's Banana Bread is incredible!
Haleakalā
At 10,023 feet above sea level, if you wake up early enough you'll be rewarded with the most spectacular sunrise on earth.
